we went here after a night out last Thursday and have got to say the Asian style dishes impressed us with the right amount of chillis which made the meal better!!! most places don't always get your spices bang on but these guys did.... service was good there was one girl waiter and two male waiters who was always on... Absolutely terrible. We were promised a buffet for a group of people, in which we were presented with just one dish. It was a very very watered down chicken curry with barely any flavour. Having had one serving each (on a side dish sized plate), we were then told that we wouldn't be allowed to go up for any more... More

Went for a 'buffet' meal with a large party. However upon arrival I was confronted with only one option. Further to that after 45 minutes of service the food was removed and no replacement provided. I was lead to understand it was all you could eat for us, however the manage claimed that there was too much of us. Shame... More

I don't really know where to start with this review... I can't believe they are still in business. I could write a book on the events of the evening, ranging from comical to ridiculous and then onto rude and abusive. The service was poor to start with and went rapidly downhill from there - surly staff and ridiculously slow, staff... More

Terrible in every way! Not one nice thing to say! Nice hello which made us go in but crap from there on! I have a mild curry which set me on fire and could not eat! My fiancé always eats a madras and it was inedible! Onion bhaji was a disc of grease! Vile! They couldn't take criticism and because... More

The food is nice in Al Bilal, and the vindaloo might be the best on The Mile - but the service is appalling. Waiters forget orders, stand around staring blankly at you while you eat, and refuse to get you the bill so that the restaurant can look more full.

Food good but not excellent. Portions not as large as some curry houses in Rusholme. Good sweet selection if you like asian/Indian deserts. Not as good value for money as Shere Khan

My partner and I called in for a meal. The staff were very attentative and nothing was too much trouble for them. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced. The restaurant was clean and tidy. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals and would highly recommend it, and would certainly call again.

It's a curry house, it was after midnight. But, it was expensive for what it was. Reasonably tasty food and acceptable interpretations of fairly typical dishes, but a bit uninspiring and a bit greasy. The price was unjustified. Service was highly courteous and good.

The "Curry Mile", where the Al Bilal is situated, brings to mind Indian restaurants redolent with the intoxicating aromas of cardamom, cumin, coriander and turmeric in the ancient Hindu tradition. Actually it's a bit of a misnomer, as practically all of the restaurants on the "Curry Mile" are halal hang-outs, many with more of a middle-eastern than Indian slant, and... More
