Right from walking through the door the Gusto Restaurant and Bar - a vibrant and trendy New York style Italian restaurant - exudes a friendly atmosphere you can’t help but feel a part of. Taking its cues in décor from 1950s NYC but with a modern twist, the focus is on the finest freshly prepared Italian dishes from throughout the ages.

A restaurant of classical elegance and glamour, Gusto’s menu offers an impressive range, from wood fired pizzas to whole lobster, salt baked sea bass and 28 day aged Premium Steaks. The children’s menu is also fun, allowing the kids to create their own pizzas.

Can't go wrong at Gusto

Had lunch with my daughter here. Pleasant surroundings and varied menu. I had a salad which was just average. No thought whatsoever on plating up, it was just a heap of salad leaves and goats cheese with beetroot from a jar. Very disappointing. My daughter had a pizza and was happy with it. I'd rather go elsewhere.

My partner and I booked a table for a Thursday night at 6pm.It was 50% off January so really busy. From entering the restaurant to leaving the service and food was excellent and attentive. Starter of meatballs and garlic bread. I chose duck and my partner went for the usual pizza for out main. We couldn't fit in a desert... More

I'm a huge fan of Gustos and particularly enjoyed this restaurant over the ones in Liverpool and on the Wirral just due to the quality of food. However, I visited here on Monday night with the 50% off deal and I have to say the food was appalling. The restaurant was busier than usual, probably due to the same offer... More

We eat here a lot and for many years!! With 3 youngish kids, what we like most is that it's always busy & atmospheric, but never too busy to get a table. Thus dinner at 5 or 6pm (no need for a babysitter) feels like most other restaurants do at 8pm. The staff are great, the food is good, consistent... More

The 50% off food in January meant the place was heaving on a Saturday afternoon and maybe this had a knock on effect but this was a below standard visit to a normally reliable place. Nothing was awful but neither was it quite right. The gnocchi with pulled pork as a starter was ok, but lacked any real depth of... More

I hadn't eaten in gusto before as I had a booking once and got ignored for so long when I arrived that I left again so I didn't have high hopes. It's 50% off in January so I thought I'd try it. I had meatballs as a starter which were good, my friend had a salad with beetroot which she... More

We visited with some family in the afternoon on Christmas Eve, wasn't too busy. It was a pleasant meal but like the last time I visited wasn't anything special. The calamari also wAs too well done and one of our party asked for Tiger prawns starter which wasn't cheap at around £8 and when it arrived it was a small... More
