Since opening it's doors five years ago, Dough has been striving to push the boundaries with our creative pizzas. Our bases arrive in the building in the form of bags of , '00' white, whole-wheat & rice flour, olive oil and yeast, with everything on our menu made with extra helpings of love and completely from scratch by our own Dough chefs. These same chefs who are continuously playing with our recipes and toying with ideas to create the perfect Neapolitan style pizza. Award winning in our first year. Even better in our fifth year and still completely independent, we pride ourselves on the knowledge we have gained over the past 5 years perfecting our regular, gluten free and whole-wheat dough. We're not called Dough for nothing.

Sunday evening pizza

One of the best pizza restaurants in Manchester. The pizza bases are very light. There is plenty of choice. The desserts are a bit heavy though. Between us we got the chocolate brownie and the truffle mixture. The truffles could have done with some ice cream or cream. The brownie portions were too... read more

Me and a friend wandered in on a Monday afternoon, the place was empty so we obviously had no problem getting a seat, service was quick as you'd expect. But the staff were so kind and attentive when we were there, I'm sure they're probably just as lovely and chatty even when it's busy! We shared a rosemary and feta... More

We were lucky, took our chance on a Wednesday early evening and probably got the last unreserved table. Dough has excellent pizzas, excellent service and a lively atmosphere with good value thrown in as well. I'd recommend and definitely hope to return.

The service was incredible, the waitress was so helpful and attentive and gave great recommendations. We arrived quite late as a last minute decision to eat out but the food was lovely and fresh and we didn't feel rushed or anything. The food was delicious! We shared olives and a baked camembert starter and then shared two pizzas; Surf and... More

Went on a Friday night having pre booked. Really busy but staff were attentive. I am Always a bit hit and miss where pizzas are concerned but not any more. The pizzas are to die for really thin base and a great range of toppings. I noticed people could take their left over pizza home but unfortunately for us there... More

I had a takeaway pizza which was quick to be ready - was nice to have a pizza with something different. I ordered one with ricotta, butternut squash, pickled red cabbage, hazelnuts and chillies. Yum!

I tried the breakfast pizza, I've no idea why! It was truly dreadful. It consisted of flavourless and very fatty bacon, average sausage and a strange selection of mushrooms. In the centre of the pizza was an egg. Not a runny egg as I'd hoped but a yellow rubber egg. If you're going to put egg on a pizza add... More

We visited as a family of 4 and all had different pizzas. The base is thin and crispy and toppings tasty and fresh. It wasn't a stodgy pizza so didn't leave you with heavy stomach. Staff were pleasant as were the surroundings. We will visit again and try more on the menu.

I expected this to be like pizza express..:I like pizza express. The pizza was not as thin or as good as express. Service was great, nice setting and atmosphere. Relaxed and friendly. The dough bites dessert seemed over baked. Next time I'll go to pizza express. It's not bad it's just not the type of pizza I like.
