We turned up just before 3 on a Sunday, when the chef was probably about to just leave. They had one serving left of beef & one of lamb - so in desperation we chose those expecting microwaved accompaniments - but we were wrong! After a suitable wait, while vegetables cooked fresh a couple of fabulous meals turned up. Thoroughly... More

We had a very nice lunch at the Red Lion. The menu had the usual pub fare but much more than that. All of the food was prepared perfectly and with fresh ingredients. Excellent service and nice pub atmosphere in the middle of Chipping Campden. Highly recommend.

My partner and I were staying nearby at The Seagrave Arms in Weston Subedge and this restaurant was recommended to us by the owner. We were fortunate enough to have good weather so wanted somewhere we could sit outside and enjoy the warm evening. We both decided to order the beefburger from the menu and were very pleasantly surprised by... More

The locals were keen to make small talk in this bijou setting. It wasn't crowded and they accepted dogs which went a long way in getting my vote.

We stopped in Stable Bar on a Thursday night while hiking through the Cotswolds. A folk music "jam session" was going on. We thoroughly enjoyed drinking ale and listening to the ever growing group of musicians. Great fun!

My brother and my kids and myself went there for dinner having left our beautiful guest house for an early evening out. Service was poor the place is tatty and grotty. And the food..... The food was awful, took ages even after waiting for an hour for a table. Children's menu was horrid and our adult meals were as bad.... More

My partner and I ate here on 13th April 2014. We had the home made burger and sausage and mash. The food was fresh, delicious and high quality. The wine is also very reasonably priced. Would recommend!

Decent beer & food. A little overpriced but good quality. Service a bit hit & miss but was waiters first day so only right that we account for that!
