Tracy and her team took a late booking from us for a Friday night night meal for a large family gathering. Even though the number of diners kept changing right up to the point of sitting down to eat the staff coped. We ate traditional fayre that was wholesome and reasonably priced. There was a good selection of drinks and... More

Good pub food in a quaint setting. We ate in the main part of the pub which was very quaint and 'old fashioned'. It was a little chilly for me even though we sat next to the gas fire but the food was warming, the portion size very good and the mash totally lump free! The single member of staff... More

Had dinner at Red Lion during our Christmas holiday in Chipping Campden. Food was good if you would like to try English dishes like fish n chips, jacket potato & sausages & mash. Price was fair with the quality of the foods.

Comfortable four poster room with lovely large bathroom. Simple dinner menu, but well executed. Small but reasonable selection of wines. Very good breakfast. Friendly and efficient staff. Only criticism - the noisy parrot. I don't think it adds anything to the ambience of the pub.

Thank you for your positive comments following your stay with us. Sorry Oscar (the parrot) was a little noisy for you - most of our guests really enjoy his talking and if he does get too noisy for guests we are always willing to cover him up as this stops him talking. Tracy More

Set in the very picturesque Cotswolds Chipping Camden, this is a very satisfactory Pub Grub stop off. All flagstones and low ceilings with ancient beams American tourists must love it, but this Sat Lunchtime it was Family customers. I had the steak and ale pie which was pastry topped bowl brimming with steak chunks and tasty gravy. Chunky chips made... More

Our first visit to Chipping Campden. Unusual village with Cotswold stone buildings lining both sides of the main road We walked along from one end to the other and came across the Red Lion. It was about 2pm on a Sunday and so we popped in for a spot of lunch. Warm and welcoming. Very tasty meals (pork and beef)... More

Visited with friends had a fabulous meal at lunch time. Good sized portions and very good value for money. The open fires were cozy and warm. The place was clean and welcoming and the staff could not do enough for us, they were very friendly and polite. I had the home made pie, which was excellent and my friend had... More

I was so disappointed, one of only a couple of pubs in town ... how could they get it so wrong. Lousy selection of drinks .. nothing of any quality and what a miserable unwelcoming place. Dirty, cold lousy service ... miserable staff only interested in looking after them selves ... one drink and I was glad to be out
