Both the crab and lamb croquette starters were very good, but the steak and pork mains were on the tough side, staff were rather formal and seemed to lack personality, smile a little:)

This seemed to be the only place open on a Monday night and was convenient as it was in out hotel however it was really disappointing. Other reviews have mentioned the friendly staff who show no substance and it is true. All really nice but not most proactive bunch. Food was poor, uncooked chips and the burger bun was so... More

Great menu, delicious food but the staff, although pleasant, just not adequately trained or in number enough to offer the service level these prices deserve.

Delicious food very prompt service and a beautiful setting!! Well worth the superior spa package which gets you £20 pp off the bill at the Grill! Steaks were amazing!! Pudding was fabulous and the starters looked beautiful!

We were staying over the road in their sister hotel and booked a table in the Grill as an alternative. We had a lovely meal with good service and at a price I would expect in this standard of hotel. Our starters were very good: my wife thoroughly enjoyed her crayfish and prawn cocktail and my duck liver parfait was... More

Booked a table for myself and my partner at least a week before before arrival in the main dining area and not the cotswold grill. The Hotel rang me the day before arrival telling me that the main dining room had been double booked for wedding so we could not eat in the main dining room but we could go... More

My meal was raw and burnt at the same time. When this was brought to the head waiter's attention, I was explained to that it was in fact chargrilled, even though as I pointed out 80% of my bun was blackened. The meal was re-made and although this time the meat was cooked and the bun was not "char-grilled" (cremated),... More

We had dinner in the Grill as part of a overnight stay at Cotswold House which has lovely gardens. Whilst the food was excellent there were some issues. The menu has changed from the balanced one shown on their website and their mains are now heavily beef focused with the only fish option being fish and chips. I had a... More

We popped in on a busy Bank Holiday Monday, with few expectations. The menu is limited in choice, but that's not always a bad thing - fewer choices done well often works out best. We were sat in the bar and had drinks while choosing our food. Decor, despite the outside of the building, is very modern and stylish. The... More
