Lovely food and friendly staff

The food is great and the waitress was really helpful with modifying some items on the menu! Had a great meal, though pricey, worth it for the taste! I recommend not skipping out on dessert.

Lucky to be staying in Chipping Campden this week and just as lucky to have discovered the Eight Bells. Genuinely warm and pleasant welcome from the staff and food that was just unbeatable. Add to that the lovely ambiance and this really is a treat not to be missed.

We chose to eat here having looked on TripAdvisor. The food was fantastic. I had the lamb and mint pie and it was the best pie I've ever eaten. My husband had a steak and he said it was the best he's eaten in the UK. Excellent quality food and great service. Best meal I've had in a long while... More

Popped in after a long walk in the area in the off chance of getting a table. Greeted and sat down very quickly, drinks and menu sorted. Had roast beef and roast pork which was delicious. Would go again.

Very old quaint pub, we sat in the bar by the open fire. Nice meal, unfortunately the pheasant was over cooked but the starters and dessert were lovely. Will definately visit again.

I went based on the reviews on here and was very pleased I did. It had to be the best pub meal I have ever had and everything on the menu sounded great. Would love to go back and may come up with a reason for a day trip just to do that.

We spent Christmas and New Years (2015) in the Cotswolds. We rented a cottage and explored as much as we could in our short two weeks there. Chipping-Campden became one of our favorite among the many quaint villages. We tried our best to sample the best pub food from each little village we visited. One thing we noticed is that... More

Went for lunch with some friends and had a fairly OK experience but some seriously low points. The pub itself is nice enough and in a great setting. Good selection of beers. However, the food was pretty disappointing. My duck confit was ok but the pheasant breast that came with it was clearly cooked at 200 degrees plus for a... More

Had a late-ish dinner here on January 4th. Town and the restaurant were both very quiet but still had a great atmosphere in the Eight Bells. We were booked into the dining room but asked on arrival to move to the bar which was no trouble. We had superb fish and chips, and a rich and tasty venison pie. Service... More
