8 of us came here for a Christmas evening meal. We had a great evening with good wine (not cheap), good starters and nice desserts. We were not rushed at all but did get a little uncomfortable when the chef left the building by walking through the restaurant followed by a couple of the bar staff. Well we were late... More

Had a very nice dinner in this pub. It was a cold rainy night so we sat by the fire. Staff were very attentive, although when they kept asking what we wanted in the way of drinks before we sat down and settled was a little annoying. The Christmas menu was on. I tried the turkey, chestnut stuffing and all... More

On a stay in Chipping Campden and on the search for dinner we happened upon the Eight Bells. It was very busy but the landlord cheerily greeted us and took our drinks order. On enquiring about food he explained they were very busy but that there would be a table available if we were happy to wait and we're glad... More

On the surface this looks like a great place and to be honest it could be. It's just total hit and miss with what you choose. I think they have a very average chef which sums the place up perfectly. Very average and much better places to eat in town. Just a warning but stay fear of the bread and... More

My wife and I accompanied by four close friends, lunched at the eight bells on a day last week. The old North Cotswold building, all honey coloured Cotswold stone exterior, interior with (?) rafters over a hundred years old. Enchanting! The service was good, the staff friendly and efficient. Good beer. But Oh! the cuisine , I had deep fried... More

Looks nice as you walk past & decided after reading reviews on here to call in. Food served till 2pm & dogs allowed in the bar area. Small menu but not your standard pub food, which is great to see for a change. We opted on sandwiches on ciabatta bread. I had chicken in a Cajun mayonnaise with rocket &... More

Booked a table for a Saturday night. Arrived to the cozy restaurant and liked the atmosphere and dining room. Pub had a good buzz to it as well. Ordered drinks and food. Service on the drinks was prompt and friendly. Unfortunately, once the food came out, we wished we'd opted for a different pub. My main, the pork chop, was... More

A limited menu but everything looked good. Faggots and Mash were great and very filling as was the Stilton burger. Lovely fires burning and busy with both drinkers and meals. Only negative was the meal took about 20-25 mins to arrive.

Food was very good. Staff were busy and not really enthused to serve at first but warmed up as the evening progressed.
