Best pub in Chipping Campden

We ate at the Eight Bells twice on our long weekend break in Chipping Campden. Nice open fires on a cold winter evening. A decent sized portion of food and a pint of decent beer. Just the job really. The restaurant was totally empty so we went in the bar which turned out to be very pleasant. Worth visitng and better than some of the other places in town.

Friday night no booking and a group of seven. One of us popped in to see if they could serve us, 10 minutes later we were in the Restaurant. Lovely food and really good service, thank you girls.

Great food, service and atmosphere. Just off the main street so would be easy to miss this place. Gammon steak was delicious. Service was attentive without being over the top. Well worth a visit if you want really good quality food in a comfortable environment.we ate in the bar area. A more formal area was available too.

Popped in to warm up. Sat beside a warm fire. Had a good bowl of mushroom soup with buttered crumpet. Very tasty with a friendly service .

Lovely pub with log fire, good beer and excellent wine.food was very ordinary and overpriced. I would go again for a drink but for food there's lots of better alternatives in chipping cambden.

Pleasant pub with good beers and very tasty food reasonably priced. Staff very friendly too. They do allow dogs in but only seem to do food all day on a Sunday so check times first.

Very pleasant pub, traditional and dog friendly with lovely open fire .Worth a premium for meals but very limited menu choice and very expensive for what you get.

A nice place but the attraction is certainly not the food for the patrons or the owners. It is an after thought. The portions are miniscule the sides limited and it is expensive compared to the others in town so why bother. It is nice for a drink but leave it at that.

We thought that we were fortunate in securing a table for four, friends on holiday, for a first sitting Sunday lunch because of a cancellation. How wrong. The service was lacklustre, the food (two beef, two Gloucester Old Spot) was cold when it eventually arrived and most of the beef was left as it was almost inedible. Considering the price,... More
