The Bakers Arms gave us an excuse to take a country walk from Chipping Campden to the lovely, small village of Broad Campden. It's a lovely pub (though will admit that the walking was a bit perilous in parts, with no clear paths that I could see between towns that didn't involve some stretches along curving country roads), still, fun.... We ate at this 16th century pub when we stayed in Broad Campden and couldn't have been happier with the ambiance, the local beer, and the food. You could tell this was a neighborhood pub, cozy and inviting, and we felt welcomed the moment we walked in. The food was exceptional: potato/leek soup, goat cheese tart, haddock, and a lemon... Had an evening meal here whilst staying in Chipping Campden. Excellent sausage and mash - a good size portion and a lovely onion gravy. Husband's chicken was really tender and full of flavour.

Staying at a cottage in Blockley we are taking advantage of the local pubs for a bite to eat and a pint. The Bakers Arms didn't disappoint. With an array of local beers, it was no trouble for us to have a 'little taste' to decide our preference, both choices were well kept. The menu was above average but I... More

well where to start. The review that said food was modest was really giving too much praise. I don't think it deserves it. the food was poor fare. we ordered our meal and had the stilton filled mushrooms well mushroom and could not taste the stilton. Then came the main course. Well oven chips are are a complete no no.... More

Utilising their car park so we could go for a walk before the pub opened, we were greeted warmly, with comments about the weather, etc. When we returned the pub was quite busy but we managed to find a table in the 'back room' although it was still very pleasant. They have a good selection of soft drinks and excellent... More

Visited the pub for a meal whilst staying nearby. It was everything a village pub should be - big fireplace, beams, stone floors, locals having drinks at the bar. The menu displayed plenty of choice and there were specials on the board as well. My battered mushrooms with garlic mayonnaise were delicious and the cheese topped cottage pie was tasty.... More

The pub with brick walls had great atmosphere, cozy and relaxed. The food was all around terrific, especially the lightly battered fish and best chips anywhere in the world, fresh garden salad with different greens, sprouts and tomatoes. Reasonable prices (GBP 10 for the fish and chips). We drove from Chipping Campden but could have walked...definitely will return!

We visited on a rainy day an April and were immediately greeted by two warm fires in the fireplaces. The staff was very friendly and the food was excellent. This is very nice neighborhood pub that's very welcoming. We will definitely return. Good Value too.

The Baker's Arms is the only pub in Broad Campden, a village just outside of Chipping Campden. Exterior and Interior have the typical Cotswolds charme. The place is small, but warm and inviting. The menu features pub food, simple and unpretentious. The food is decent, prices reasonable and service friendly. So if you stay in The Malt House nearby and... More
