Great little pub

A great little pub, with true local village character, home cooked good value food and a good selection of frealales.

We were made very welcome in the pub, and even the dog was given a treat! The meal was a bit slow to arrive because they were busy but that was not a problem for us. My spicy fish casserole was one of the best bar meals I have ever eaten. Well flavoured and piping hot. Compliments to the chef.... More

Small pub with great atmosphere serving local beers. Try Stanway Bitters made at Stanway House. There duck leg dinner was very good.

Nice, relaxing, laid back atmosphere. Great place for a beer. My wife had the chicken, ham & leek pie with mash. It looked good and she said it was good. I had the BBQ pork belly and the piece of meat the gave me left a lot to be desired. It was way too small and part of that was... More

My wife and I used to frequent this pub ten years ago. It is beautifully situated in a rural near Cotswold area and used by walkers. We found the menu uninteresting and hope matters will improve. The staff are friendly and relatively helpful and it has had a bit of a brush up in the last year or so but... More

A wonderful evening out in this cosy pub. Enjoyed the food- I had a chicken dish- and the local cider. Lively crowd of mostly locals. Was lucky enough to be there on an evening they had musical entertainment. Staff was welcoming. Would love to return if ever in the area.

Had a lovely meal here with my wife, daughter and son in law. Great bar staff and a nice atmosphere. The food is very good. I have been twice this week and we will be going again tonight. The menu should suit all tastes from vegetarian to pescatarian right through to the dedicated carnivore, there is plenty of choice. The... More

What a delight it is to come back to the Bakers Arms twice in six weeks! A warm welcome awIts - staff always so friendly. Great choice of food. We opted for Roast Beef and I had the Roast Lamb- all served up with vegs (and delicious crispy roast potatoes) Super pudding - Apple & Rhubarb Crumble with the most... More
