The restaurant had been booked in advance to celebrate the end of the Cotswold Way Walk, there were over 20 hungry walkers. The table were beautiful set and the lamb was perfectly cooked and the 10 different vegetables on offer just kept coming as did the gravy. Lovely choice of deserts and plenty of coffee with refills if required. All... More

We discovered this place by accident really, but it was a great find! Having popped in earlier in the day for a drink and a toilet break we thought it looked really nice and had a good selection on the menu so we came back for our evening meal. Had we known just how big the portions were, we probably... More

Having spent an enjoyable weekend in the Cotswolds, we booked for Sunday lunch at the Lygon Arms in Chipping Campden. We were extremely disappointed with both the service and the overall feeling of the place. The food was at best average, but we had to wait an extremely long time for it and the restaurant did not appear to busy... More

Cosy and atmospheric pub, obviously very popular as it was full when we arrived - luckily we'd booked a table! We were quite a large party (9) but that didn't cause any problems for the efficient and friendly staff. Food was delicious - love that you get a selection of proper vegetables with your meal rather than the usual sorry... More

We ate dinner in the bar of the Lygon Arms, having popped in the day before around lunchtime for a drink. Bar & waiting staff were friendly and efficient. The menu had lots of choice, as did the wine list, and the bar is well stocked with just about every spirit you can think of. Portions were large and the... More

The Great Hall restaurant of the Lygon Arms is served by a very competent kitchen which (in the face of some odds) deserves its current 2 AA rosette status. On the first of the nights we dined there the service was achingly slow and obviously hard pushed, they managed better on the second night. The pedestrian wine list falls short of... More

Ate here (not for the first time) at lunchtime on Sunday. Our friends have a dog which was allowed in and the staff were attentive and friendly. The food was traditional British pub food and very nice it was too, with large portions for everyone. The bill came to £85 for 5 persons including a round of drinks and a... More

In the charming small town of Chipping Campden in the Cotswolds there are not many choices for dining. The pub in the small Lygon Hotel on High Street, the main street in town, has its charm. Like just about every building in town the hotel and the pub are very, very old. The service was very slow and unprofessional, although... More

We came here for a snack and a drink. We ordered the cheese tray and it was great. The beer on the other hand, they only had 3 choices or so... not a lot for a bar if you ask me, but we made due. Being outside in the courtyard eatingand drinking though was great!

We did not stay in the hotel, but did have 2 meals in the pub. Loved this place... comfortable, very friendly to tourists, great atmosphere and good food using as many local ingredients as possible. A good blend of traditional pub favorites and more modern menu items.
