Nice Pub Meal

Lets get the bad point out of the way first, serving Guinness in a John Smiths glass is just a "no no"!. Apart from that there is a wide choice of beers and food although the lamb shank had sold out (what we wanted- we heard elsewhere it was popular) the food we had was plentiful and tasty, staff... read more

We went in for lunch and the bar staff were very friendly. We ordered sandwiches which had huge slices of bread. Perhaps it's good energy for the walkers who pass through but it seemed a little excessive. Prices in this area of the Cotswold are high - we'd been staying in London and noted that the prices often exceeded those... More

I stopped at the Lygon Arms one night for dinner while in Chipping Campden. I was told all of the tables were booked, but they could squeeze me in if I wasn't planning to stay too long. I enjoyed great service and a delicious toasted ham and cheese and an even better sticky toffee pudding. A great meal and great... More

The service can't be faulted and the food portions are generous. As an American living in Britain I often loathe the quantity of food many places try to give you while charging you good money. Lygon Arms provided delicious food and lots of it. Highly recommended to all.

This restaurant was a disappointment. Atmosphere was pub cozy but that's their only asset. We were told at 5:45pm that the kitchen didn't open until 6:00pm and that all tables were reserved for 8:00pm. We convinced them that we could be out before then so they agreed to seat us. We watched them turn away several parties before 6:30. The... More

We visited twice whilst in the area. Once was for a late night drink on the evening we arrived and the atmosphere was brilliant, small cosy local pub with friendly staff and locals. We enjoyed ourselves so much we went back the next night for dinner, to fit us in we ate in the restaurant area and then back to... More

Small venue inside, so get there early. Excellent service. Food is plentiful but of a very high quality. Ploughmans with selection of 2 cheeses or cheese and pate; lasagne was hot, very tasty right down to the bottom; roast beef was devoured and plenty for the dog, much to my sons disgust came with 3 veg and lovely cauliflower cheese;... Had big lamb shank and 8 oz burger. Left feeling very full. Beef is local. Fast service for Friday night. Got in right away.

Warm & welcoming - we went on Boxing day night when most places were closed in the area - which seemed strange coming from Australia where you can get a feed anytime - but this establishment was open with a wonderful menu. We enjoyed our evening & the food was delicious!
