A traditional tea room, all cakes home made. Scones were really good with clotted cream and jam. Victoria sponge also worth trying.

We called ahead and booked the "Tea on a Tier" and it was lovely! That was the general consensus around the room too. The first cake stand was filled with sandwiches, chunks of quiche, lots of different finger foods, all delicious but we struggled to finish them, then the desserts arrived!! Another cake stand with scones with jam and cream,... More

I have been to this tea room a number of times - the service is always very good; there is an excellent selection of cakes as well as a wide variety of soups / sandwiches and cooked meals. There is also a nice courtyard at the back which is great for the summer months. I would highly recommend

Wife and I stopped for 2 coffees, egg mayonnaise sandwich and a ham sandwich. Bill £20 , very expensive. Radiator next to us was filthy and food bought out by staff wearing dirty pinny, we weren't impressed. Room has lovely fireplace, but no real fire lit, just pretend wood burner with cheap red lights in it. We really wished we... More

I had the crumpet tea, and my partner had the beef Yorkshire. The beef Yorkshire was a hit and cooked just right with plenty of beef. I liked these cheesey crumpets, teacake and scones. The banana cherry cake they brought was nice. The tea cost extra and let it down a bit. The only issue was service was slow and... More

Great food, friendly service I would recommend. Lovely old building and our set tea came out on a nice stand. Only suggestions for improvement: let the customer choose the slice of cake that comes with the meal. Use loose leaf teas: your cakes aren't bog standard so don't let your teas let you down.

We actually had lunch here and intended to come back for tea but never made it back. We enjoyed our lunch. The options are mostly soups and sandwiches. There are also many options for tea, scones, desserts. The tea room is in a very old building, and has a very casual feel.

We visited Badgers Hall on a drizzly afternoon seeking a traditional afternoon tea of sandwiches, cake and scones. We were not disappointed. Tea in a proper sized teapot with extra hot water. The tiered tea for two with delicious sandwiches of ham and smoked salmon with fresh salad, slices of Apple and cherry tomatoes, fabulous cakes and Aga cooked scones... More

On a cold and wet January afternoon a visit to the Badgers Hall tea room was a delight. We both had a cream tea which was well up there with one of the best ever. The cakes for sale looked good, def worth a visit!

Four of us called in on a cold January Sunday and were welcomed warmly. The food was just what we wanted: various combinations of soup, quiche etc., accompanied by vins chauds all round and a coffee each. Extremely pleasant staff, very traditional surroundings, Good value.
