Cosy with friendly service

I visited here at the end of January on a cloudy, drizzly Sunday. We were looking for a casual place to have lunch that wasn't too expensive and came across this little cafe. It was very cosy, with small wooden tables and a traditional Cotswold feel which was very nice. It even had an Aga where... read more

We visited on the 2nd January for lunch and were lucky to find a table free without booking. The staff were friendly although the service was a little on the slow side. The food was great though and the portion size was ideal, not too large nor too small. Would recommend.

Our day in Chipping Camden was the coldest and rainiest of our trip. The first two places we tried to get lunch were closed as it was New Years. And what a wonderful delight that turned out to be! We ended up spending two and half hours enjoying tea, lunch, and sweets. Our group included 4 adults and 3 kids,... More

Such a friendly, cozy spot with great food!! We had tea, coffee, scones with clotted cream and soup, delicious all! Some diners were in for a quick bite, others were leisure n a rain day. The staff were accommodating to all. Visiting from the U.S. we will definately return before heading across the pond!

Stopped in here for a light lunch during an extremely wet day. The staff were friendly and the food tasty, although I think it was overpriced for what it was (quiche, soup, baked potato - that kind of thing). I also found my Mocha to be too sweet, but that really boils down to preference. Bread and soup were clearly... More

All round a great afternoon tea experience. The scones were very large and very good, they had a slight doughey yeasty taste, but were still very good. The Lady Grey and English Breakfast tea were full bodied yet delicate. The room was warming and cozy. Set within the stunning town of Chipping Campden, this afternoon tea experience is a must... This is such a welcoming and warm tea room offering a large selection of sandwiches, home made cakes and home cooked traditional main courses. The food is excellent and the portion sizes very generous. The service is efficient and friendly.

Along with my wife and two close friends we had a wonderful lunch of home made soup, sandwich and cheese scones all washed down with a lovely cup of tea. The service was very good and friendly and although the cakes looked good enough to die for, we had to give them a miss as we had a dinner booked... More
