Good meal

Went to Maharaja for a meal as it was their special night, (tuesday) poppadum, chutney, starter, main dish and rice/naan for £9.99. Excellent value. Service was good and staff friendly. You need to book.

Maharaja is a stylish, modern "oasis" in the rustic Volunteer Inn in Chipping Camden. We stumbled upon it when we rented bicycles (at Cycle Cotswold) at the back of the inn. The From the unusually interesting menu, we ordered Mun-churian (chicken), chicken and mushroom Balti, vegetable samosa and more - all delicious! The veg was fresh, the sauces robust, and... More

Asked for a seat away from a noisy party and was seated next to a radiator. Service was so slow we thought they had lost our order. Finally served and it was disappointingly bland.

Quite unusual to find an Indian restaurant attached to a pub (Volunteer Inn) but the food was good as was the service and judging by how busy it was it is clearly popular with the locals

Ate here night before starting Cotswold Way. This is situated in the Volunteer Inn at the end of the High Street.Good service from start to finish we had poppodums and salad to start with followed by a tandoori mixed grill. (See pic) mushroom bajee and chicken makhani. All excellent dishes. Orange segments to end. Chipping Campden should be very happy... More

The staff are some of the friendliest you will meet, the food is always excellent. Not only value for money you never leave the table hungry. Will be back again soon for the good food and not forgetting the laughs. Thanks.

We had been staying in Broadway and my husband fancied a curry - Previously, we had found an excellent Indian which was at the back of a pub and although we thought that had shut down, thought this must be the same place. We arrived fairly early without a reservation but even though the restaurant was busy, we were found... More

Broad menu to choose from, mild to spicy dishes. We each selected a main and shared a vegetable side and nan order. Next to Volunteer Inn. Service was not rushed.

Visited here after hanging at the pub next door. The food was reasonable, though as with a lot of restaurants in the UK, the prices were a bit steeper than used to at home. Was a welcome dinner after a tough day of riding. Service was very good as well and if we are lucky enough to get back to... More
