An emblem to nostagia and deorum.

Wood's Tea room sits in the town centre like an emblem to nostalgia and decorum. Its rather Dickensian external theme continues to the wood- lined interior where unusual objects inhabit nooks and niches. I've eaten in Woods many times and overlooked writing a review so here goes. As my title suggests I done at Woods on a regular basis, and never had a bad meal. The staff are attentive, polite and knowledgable. All the staff I see there have been there since I've been going so they must enjoy their work. The meals... More

Have visited here on a few occasions but never got round to writing a review. Had lunch there again I Saturday and it was just beautiful. From comfortable searing to very polite and helpful staff to superb freshly cooked food. Faultless!

This excellent tea rooms and restaurant is top class and very well run clean place. Had brunch with best eggs benedict ever. Good food fair price. Not cheap and not a cafe. Good service and good value. Be prepared to wait if you have not booked, especially between 12.00 and 14.00. Would be lovely restaurant in evenings and for Sunday... More

When we decide to come into Doncaster for a few hours it's a must to have lunch in our favourite tea rooms. We arrived just before last orders at 3.30 pm yesterday. No problem we knew what we wanted omelette for my husband and toasted cheese and pickle sandwich for me and two lattes. Service very good as usual and... More

We always find Wood's a pleasant end to a morning's shopping. It has retained it's homely atmosphere under the enthusiastic leadership of owner Tracy. All the staff are extremely friendly and manage to make time for a chat even when they are busy. Be warned though, this place is packed with regulars, a good sign of course, between 12 and... More

It's been a couple of years since we visited Woods, but we were happy to find that the quality of the food is still as good. The chicken mayonnaise sandwiches have always been a particular favourite; a generous filling of lovely pieces of chicken (from a chicken, not pre-packed or reformed), mayonnaise, served with a lovely dressed side salad and... A great find today for lunch. A wonderful Tea Rooms with beautiful décor and nice and clean. Highly recommended and will return on my next visit to Doncaster. Visited with my Aunt, we both had Club Sandwiches which were very tasty. Nice crockery and a very efficient service. I did think it was a little overpriced but very enjoyable all... More
