Great pub grub at the Three Mariners

Excellent service and really good food at the historic Three Mariners. Braised liver and onions with mash was great, as was the chicken and mushroom pie except that the very light and crisp puff pastry topping had been added after cooking (but this is just a personal thing). Lovely local ice... read more

We were looking for somewhere to eat while we stayed in Lancaster and this little pub came up as 3rd in the reviews. First impression of it was a little pub a bit out of the way and I was a little worried of what to expect BUT I shouldn't have been. It is a proper real ale pub serving... More

Fantastic traditional pub. Excellent food. Easy to see why it's so highly rated. The chilli burger is seriously hot but delicious. The chicken piri piri is also fab. Great quality real ales too.

I went to The Three Mariners on Monday 25th May. I chose to try the gammon steak topped with tomato and herb sauce and cheese. Presentation was fantastic and the meal was first class. Congratulations again to Dom and his team

We visited three mariners for tea after work. The food was excellent and the service was faultless. We parked in the parksafe car park which was a minute or two away. Will definitely be going again.

We stayed in Lancaster for 3 wks and loved this place. History of this grand pub cannot be beat! A pub of true character with low and beamed ceilings, and we found it to always be friendly. I had visited it in 2012 and found the same. Behind bar staff were welcoming and informative. Food was terrific...most particularly the fish... More

A few months since I have been here so interesting to see if the standards are still the same...First of all, once again an excellent selection of beers for a Mitchells pub...why do some of their pubs rely heavily on their mediocre York beers and others don't? The ambience of the pub and the friendliness of the staff is excellent.... More

We visited this pub over the Bank Holiday and walked into a beer festival. Sixteen real ales to try - heaven! We also ate there and the beef & ale pie was excellent. The staff were friendly. The only reason that we didn't go back during our stay in Lancaster is that it was so popular and crowded on subsequent... More

We didn't eat here but had late night pints. Craft beer festival at the pub with 21 local craft beers and ciders on cask. The pub has an amazing history from as far back as the 15th century. The bar staff are friendly fun and informative. Can't wait to come back. 5 stars all around.

Visited many times whilst on holiday. Always a great night if you can get in, really popular and deservedly so. Good wholesome food served in good proportions by friendly, helpful staff. Looking forward to going back.
