I recently visited this quaint little bar with a group of friends, although we hadn't booked staff prepared a table for us. The food has been amazing for both visits here and staff have been friendly and efficient.

The Water Witch has been a regular haunt of mine with friends over the years. I had my birthday party with 13 friends on a Saturday night. The manager had changed the layout of the seating area to fit us in as I wanted to bring my dog along! The high quality food was served in a timely manner by... More

Was just popped in and had a drink with my friend, perhaps because I looked young, the staff at the bar was not friendly at all. The bigger problem is that, I was refused to pay for my drink by card cause it was 4.45 (under 5 pounds), which was fair. my friend then offered get my drink, I was... More

We arrived by canal barge to meet friends. We could moor the barge directly outside. Great atmosphere and service. Food lovely and great beer and mulled wine. This is a favourite pub of our, visited often when our daughter was studying at the university. Well worth a visit

Just nipped in for a couple of pints, ended up having the grill night special deal and the steaks were fantastic. Plus great service from friendly staff!

We were really looking forward to lunch at The Water Witch based on reviews and the website. We were looking forward to sharing a deli board, as we're getting a bit tired of the standard pub food. The concept was better than the reality: We had 3 cheeses, two of which were fabulous. The portions were so large, I had... More

Hi LP Thanks for your review. Prawns in a Marie Rose sauce is a popular option and is a frequent option for our customers. How can you suggest the rest of our menu is "standard pub grub" without even eating/trying it? We take on board all our customers feed back, and we hope you return to try out other items... More

Staff on the bar can't be faulted always friendly. However the food the past few visits has been shocking. A regular haunt for people to enjoy the sunshine and a drink and some food. The quality of food compared to the price is a complete mismatch and is scandalous. My friend on last visit was served cold posh fish finger... More

This place is lovely to visit any time of year. This time it was pouring with rain outside but very cosy and comfortable inside. There is a great range of wines and craft beers and the food menu is really good too!

Thankyou for taking the time to review us, we could certainly do with a little bit less rain at the moment.. ALways nice and cosy in the Waterwitch though. We hope you come to visit us again More

Good steak and nice bouillabaisse - prices look average. Could do with a little more choice when comes to smaller cheese plates (as a dessert option a portion for one is OK if you split it). Brilliant selection of beer and cider.
