Tried the Water Witch for a quick evening meal as we saw the boards outside whilst sat in the traffic in Lancaster's one way system. We had the gammon and chips which was really well cooked and we both cleared our plates. The staff were very polite and attentive. Worth another visit.

A great pub in a stunning setting right on the canal in the centre of Lancaster. There is an excellent selection of beers and lagers, a good wine list and the menu is first class. Sunday lunch is great value for money and my roast beef was as good as I have had in a long time. Service was excellent... More

Went to The Water Witch for a quick lunch today. Chose it purely because of the weather and the fact that we really wanted to sit outside. I had the deli platter and my partner had a BLT on ciabatta. The food was really nice, and reasonable too. We have been to The Water Witch a few times, and will... More

The Water Witch combines the best of both worlds - a great canal side location close to the city centre. You can sit inside the atmospheric pub or outside by the towpath, watching the world go by. There was a choice of 8 beers and several wines by the glass. For lunch I had a very tasty cheese and onion... More

Visited the Water Witch with a large group of friends who had pre booked and ordered meals, the service was excellent and all 20 of us received our meals at the same time. All had a variety of different meals including the Chicken risotto which was very tasty! They also had a variety of desserts and I would recommend the... More

A group of six of us ate here to celebrate a friend's birthday. It was lovely and warm inside the restaurant. The food took a little while to arrive but we were all very impressed with the presentation of our starters. I had goats cheese and avocado mousse and it was delicious. For main I chose the cheese and onion... More

The service is great in this pub. The food in the restuarant is like fine dining too. The Veggie choice is great for Lancaster venues. Visit in summer and sit outside or warm your hearts with a mulled wine in the winter

Our second visit to this place, went this time for a bite of lunch when we found ourselves in Lancaster with a couple of ours to spare and lunch needed. We order fish burger and a chicken&avacado sandwich. Fish in the burger was great, and served with a very good tartar sauce. Sandwich had perfectly cooked warm chicken and lovely... More
