Lovely Breakfast and Lunch

Loved the fact that they pay a lot of attention to gluten free and made sure there were some popular options available. Breakfast was Banana Pancakes with Maple Syrup - delicious and hearty, lunch was Mini Fish and Chunky Chips - all gluten free and sizeable portions. Got me through the day just... read more

Dinner for two. Starter was a good tomato soup, followed by mains of a slightly over charred steak and a scrumptious Lancashire Hotpot. Desserts were to die for, a chocloate brownie sundae and a lemon meringue sorbet. Service was decent. Overall food quality was good with a few niggles, but a bit pricey.

Visited the Borough with family. Atmosphere very relaxed with a focus on good service and delicious food. The menu has some good specials and has a lot of gluten free options which is rare. I had a pint of battered prawns and some chips - what a treat! My husband had a swordfish Niçoise salad which was cooked so well.... More

This restaurant is rather hard to get into and you'll need reservations for dinner, but I'm not entirely sure why. They make perfectly-competent pub fare, all of it pretty nice, but nothing spectacular. Service is spotty. We went for breakfast 2 days in a row, ordered the same thing, and got 2 entirely different versions, at 2 different prices! Dinner... More

Called here as we were going to an event at the Dukes and took up the offer of a meal package that was offered with the tickets. I was a little worried when we were told that we would have a choice from the "school dinners" menu but even after the trepidation of remembering those awful things that were presented... More

Went in at 6pm and it was packed with people. We managed to get a table without booking and the staff were very accommodating. It was steak night so went for that option. It was tasty and enjoyed it. Coffee was good too! Service was a little erratic at times but not intentional and will go again when the chance... More

As a family we had a lovely meal on Mothering Sunday, the food was delicious and well presented, with excellent friendly service, which created a relaxed atmosphere even though the restaurant was busy being Mothering Sunday. The ladies were made to feel special with complimentary glass of Prosecco and lovely Petunia plant.

We love to visit the Borough, on our last visit we booked a meal & comedy club, food was good with a wide choice of fayre, service was pleasant, we were well looked after by all the Staff in the restaurant. The comedy that night was unusual at time but overall very funny..!! I would not hesitate in recommending the... More
