Great meal week day offer! Be back again

The food here is of a very high standard. The atmosphere is also very welcoming. Reasonalbly priced menu with friendly staff. The service was a little slow but that was understandable considering how packed out the place was. We will be visiting again!

My husband, daughter and i found ourselves here as part of a ticket deal with The Dukes theatre and were pleasantly surprised. Lovely historic place, full of atmosphere right on Dalton Square. Contrary to another reviewer the School Dinners menu portions were more than adequate and the puddings were huge! The staff could've been a little more attentive but that... More

The atmosphere is classy and very English. The food is brilliant and not too expensive. The variety of drinks offered is impressive, although it comes at a price. I would definitely recommend a vist for a pint with friends or family.

i know it was Good Friday but, the service, food and staff were dreadful. Over priced bad food...how can you get a steak and burger so wrong and it took an hour from order to table, 4 bog standard meals and a round of drinks 100 quid....awful.

Went with a friend for lunch, we had the school dinner menu. My soup was lumpy, bad quality bread with shop bought hummus. Friends salad was a joke! Absolutely tiny! Sent it back to chef who said the ingredients were expensive so that's why it was so small. We asked for some bread to make up for it, which they... More

Went with a group for the School Dinners Menu (£7.50 mains + £3 extra for dessert on same menu) and the main of BBQ Pulled Pork was really good for the price we paid. Came really quick too. I wasn't as impressed with my crumble pudding but the others enjoyed their syrup sponges so all in all a good meal... More

Dinner for two. Starter was a good tomato soup, followed by mains of a slightly over charred steak and a scrumptious Lancashire Hotpot. Desserts were to die for, a chocloate brownie sundae and a lemon meringue sorbet. Service was decent. Overall food quality was good with a few niggles, but a bit pricey.
