I've been dining at The Borough for years, it's most definitely my favourite place in Lancaster! I'd suggest you book a table before dining, which is very easy to do on their website, although saying that, the staff are extremely good at finding a way to squeeze you in if you haven't reserved a table. The Borough is one of... More

Whilst our last visit was good the people we met up with said that sometimes the food is not of the same standard on every visit.

Great bar, good atmosphere & dog friendly. Good menu choice & specials. We enjoyed a lovely lunch today, very good house wine & very nice home brewed beer. Staff very helpful, nice & friendly too. We visited The Borough today because they are dog friendly & we were not disappointed. We will be back!

This is a fantastic restaurant. We have been multiple times for breakfast, lunch and dinner and each time did not disappoint. The food each time has been of a high standard though you do not get a lot for your money. However, there are plenty of great student offers. The staff are always friendly and we are always served quickly.... More

Have been a customer at the Borough for years and unfortunately watched it go steadily downhill over this time. Two recent visits have made me certain that I now won't return for anything other than a quick drink. It feels like corners are being cut all the time in order to save money, but unfortunately those savings aren't passed on... More

For a fee of £58.50, i booked a luxury room (no 4) and was not disappointed. Excellent quality and extremely comfortable. Lovely touches like home made shortbread, fabulous shower room with good quality toiletries. Staff were warm and friendly and when I asked about special diets, they were able to accommodate my request. Food in the dining room/pub was good... More

The borough is decorated really nicely and is warm and welcoming when you enter. Unfortunately these are the only real positives. My friends fillet steak was tiny and the meals were just standard and a little under average pub grub. Service was ok but the staff didn't really know how to smile or look interested in what they were doing.... More
