Visited with friends and absolutely loved it from start to finish. First visit but it won't be our last. Staff warm and welcoming and we loved the ambiance of the place. Menu varied offering a wide range of choices (at reasonable prices) to suit most tastes including my vegetarian friend who was well catered for. My own starter of cod... More

Meal great but whole experience spoilt when waitress leaned over me stopping me eating my starter to close the blinds! It was a glorious sunny day and a southerly aspect with a view over the canal. It transpired that the couple next to us didn't like the sun so had requested the black out blinds be closed! No consultation with... More

This place always used to be a 'safe' choice, but after our visit at Christmas I will be steering clear. Untrained and unfriendly staff. Very average food. Over-priced for what you get. Such a shame as it's a lovely place in a lovely location.

Very good restaurant with decent food although they are mostly expensive. Good for business lunch or dinner. Good for dating. I love fillet steak and vavet steak here. Good for having beer with colleagues.

Such a pleasure to have quality food expertly cooked and served with a smile and class. The fillet steak was gorgeous, succulent and we'll seasoned, my partners corn fed chicken was excellent. Highly recommended for quality, quantity and cost. Will definitely return on our next visit

It was a busy Wednesday evening, the atmosphere was great, a real calm and welcoming feel. Me and my partner were seated by a more then pleasant waiter and shown the menu. Being a man of exquisite taste, I had a strong desire for the steak, it sounded delicious. I was not disappointed. To be frank, this steak was supreme,... More

Quiet Monday night after work. Checked trip advisor for local restaurants as away on business and this place came up less than 500m away so thought I'd give it a try. No reservation although it was Monday night and I was alone so don't k so what it would be like on a busier night. Ordered rib eye which came... More

This restaurant deserves 5 stars for the food and service; the reason I have given it 4 is purely down to location. I could perhaps be persuaded differently in the summer when the terrace overlooks the river, but on a dark winter night, the location requires either driving or a taxi as it is on the outskirts of the town,... From the outside this looks like a modern roadside pub, which makes the surprise of great food even better. Starter of neck of lamb on macaroni, with lovely fillet steak, cooked perfectly. Good attention to detail
