Took my Dad out for a Birthday treat. We all had a really good meal with attentive friendly service. The menu is much better than the stock Indian restaurant. It is varied and really tasty. The lamb tastes like lamb, there are plenty of fish and vegetarian options. The spices are fresh and tasty snd nit overpowering. The purple motif... More

I must admit, Indian food isn't really my favourite thing but after my meal at double tree my views have completely changed! After coming with a few friends on the 6th we were greeted with a warm welcome and seated to our table straight away. I only had a simple korma but my, was it good! I recommend this restaurant... Although we were far from blown away from our away from our first visit to the Double Tree we decided to give it another simply due to it being convenient. We both had Popadoms to start which were pretty good but unfortunately turned out to be the highlight of our meal. My girlfriend ordered the butter chicken which tasted like... More

Along with two friends we decided to give the double tree a try after reading/hearing so many good reviews. On entering the restaurant our initial impressions were good, modern with a varied menu. On-site parking is very limited. The menu is extensive and well laid out, plenty of specials to choose from. Waiting staff are poor, ours was clumsy in... More

The atmosphere and attention of the staff puts you in a very relaxed mood. The food compares with the best I have eaten. I hope to return here on a regular basis and to enjoy the whole experience.

This was the second visit for my friends and I. The restaurant was fairly quiet (Thursday evening) and we were taken immediately to our table on arrival. We all enjoyed the chutney tray and my chicken rogan josh (£7.95) was delicious with just the right amount of spice and depth of flavour. The pilau rice portion (£2.60) just looked like... More

Second visit as a group here, we had forgotten how large the portions are. The quorn rogan josh that I ordered was delivered as a dupiaza and was replaced within 5 minutes by what was asked for unfortunately it was not spicy enough to be a Rogan Josh so maybe it was just the dupiaza in a different dish.Chutney trays... My wife and I attempted to eat here (it didn't get that far) read on.. This is unbelievable!!! We had the drinks in the waiting spot ok... Sat down and ordered ok.. 50 mins later the starters turned up and inedible ! Gristly chewy mutton which was described as lamb tikka , I complained to the waiter who just grinned... More

We ordered a take away from here as the last time we sat in here it was well very stuffy and we were rushed out in the end with our food in take away tubs! To be honest the food is excellent and not over priced I enjoyed it and I will go back!

Went out for my birthday meal with 3 others and it cost us just over £90 in total. And I was the only one to have a starter, we shared 2 naan breads, had a curry with rice each and a drink each. The curry was bland and the service terrible, they were hurrying us out the door majorly and... More
