Good atmosphere and have enjoyed lunch on a couple of occasions. Liked the relaxed approach with good food. Need to provide large enough tables for 3 rather than 3 at a table for 2

I really like the Walled Garden and am always happy to eat here. I chose it to celebrate my birthday with some friends last week and it was as good as always. As we were using my Hi Life card, it proved very good value for money as it worked out as getting one of the meals free, but I... More

I took my mum here for lunch as a treat for her Birthday. We chose from the 3 course special menu and it was delicious! Our waitress, Elaine, was very helpful and pleasant. Will definitely be recommending to family and friends.

After reading quite a few good reviews, we thought we'd give the bistro a try for Mother's day, as they had a set menu for £18 per person. I had called the week before to book and ask what was on the menu. The girl did not know but said it would be available during the week. I kept checking... More

Have been here many ties over the years, as it used to be the "tea rooms" attached to the Barton Grange Garden Centre, before they re-located to more splendid premises further up the A6. It appears that this little Bistro may be taking second place to the larger eating places at the new Garden Centre, and the fact that it... More

Having had afternoon tea here before we came again today 31/3/14. The food was ok, had to ask for our prossecco. People sat adjacent to us had finished their food when we arrived and yet their plates etc were still there when we left to sit in the lounge area. From the lounge area I witnessed the barman open a... More

I had previously had an Afternoon Tea which wasn't as exciting as other people seem to think it is, but I was encouraged to go for a lunch. 3 course Special Offer was delightful. Well presented and tasteful starter was followed by an exquisite main course of Cod. Welcoming to the Restaurant was good but as it was busy, service... More

Visited for the first time as somebody had been kind enough to buy us an afternoon tea voucher as a present. Having had afternoon tea at other hotels/ establishments, we expected similar here. How wrong we were! Woeful attention to customers by nonchalant staff, and awful (no exaggeration) excuse for afternoon tea. Poor presentation, poor content .. felt like it... More

We came here for a birthday dinner and it was an excellent choice: the menu was varied, the food was excellent and the service and presentation was really very good. For a wet and windy Thursday night in Preston, there was a good crowd but the staff managed the numbers well: there were no unavoidable delays and we were not... More
