We pre-booked a 9pm table for four on Friday 11th April. However, we did not get the table as requested as the previous occupants of the table had not finished their meal. We did get offered a free drink because the table wasn't ready for us to dine - which we obliged - however, even after 45 minutes of waiting... More

My daughter took my wife and I on Friday evening. The Italians have a way of putting you at ease and within moments of arriving you know you are going to have a good time and good food. As my daughter was paying we stuck to the seasonal set menu. Sometimes this leads to a change in attitude by waiters,... More

Went here recently because of the good reviews and I'm glad to say it didn't disappoint! Staff were helpful and friendly and the quality of the food was fantastic. We went for the 2 course option which was plenty, no one left hungry. A must try for authentic italian food!

Went to this restaurant with a couple of friends. The staff were most welcoming ensuring we were satisfied with our dining experience. This included preparing a pasta dish to my friends requirements as it wasn't on the menu. We can thoroughly recommend this restaurant and will be visiting again soon.

Have visited Giovannis 3 times now and not been disappointed yet! Food is very good and service is excellent. As mentioned before, a nice touch is Giovanni himself coming round to the tables afterwards to see if everything was ok with your meal etc. The desserts were to die for - especially the pannacotta!

I've been here twice now, most recently last weekend with my sister for dinner. Great selection of dishes and the chef was happy to make my seafood pasta without squid as crayfish (he offered to add salmon which was a nice touch). Both our meals were great. Make sure you leave enough room for dessert- I had panna cotta whilst... More

A lovely family run restaurant, good service and very good menu, particularly good choice of the chef's specials. Downside is that it tends to be noisy due to tables being too close, so privacy could be a problem if you want it. Proper beer for my husband rather than larger would be a great improvement.

From the time you enter everything is perfect. Welcome is friendly, food is excellent and the chef comes to speak to you. Wine list is good. Overall reasonably priced but look out for the lunch deals which are very cheap!! Highly recommend. With a two year old at our side, staff were excellent. Not much space but they made it... More
