Afternoon tea with the hubby

Had dinner in with the package - food is amazing only thing they should consider is changing the menu daily or every other day as same choices two days running can be an issue.

This is the Howtel Restauarant for the Hilton Puckrup Hall Hotel. As such, it is family friendly and has a varied and well designed menu which caters for all. Pleasant well appointed surroundings, comfortable, good service and tasty food. Great breakfast if you are staying in the hotel.

Menu has no sides to add although you can order from the bar menu. I miss the lovely fresh breads that were complimentary whilst waiting for your meal. The set menu is unchanged all week so after a couple of nights I had exhausted my preferences and resorted to the bar menu.

We stayed just one night after a day at the races. I had the pressed ham hock with pea purée which was pretty good and my other half had the smoked haddock risotto which was absolutely delicious. I then had the calves liver and other half had beef cheek both of which were very tasty and beautifully presented. Pudding for... More

Stayed here for just one night and hadn't the energy to go back into Tewksbury so decided to eat in the hotel restaurant (we don't usually). As others have said 1 course = £16, 2 = £19 and 3 = £23. We paid extra for the sirloin steaks (£9.50 each) and although it seemed alot they were cooked to perfection... More

We have eaten here on 4 different occasions and have had great food each time. We went last week for a sparkling afternoon tea and it was lovely. The scones were lovely and warm with clotted cream and the sandwiches were tasty. Would definitely book it again.

As hotel restaurants go it was OK and reasonably priced but not great. Some food rather tasteless with too much use of shredded/pulled meats in towers for me. Puddings were not wonderful.

been meaning to write this for a while. Came for an 80th birthday early july 6 of us in total. It was booked in advance and when we arrived they said they had no booking but this was not a problem as the restaurant was virtually empty. I ordered steak and chips and asked for the steak to be cooked... More
