Cheap and cheerful

Massive place, always really busy in there. There is lots of choice on the menu even for me as I'm a fussy eater and it's pretty cheap and they have a fairly good service.

You do at least know what you're getting in most BFs, and this one is no exception. Pretty cheap and reliably predictable, it serves the adjacent Premier Inn adequately. Service was friendly and quick and no complaints on quality - as long as your expectations are sensibly modest. Was a bit 'laddish' the night I was there (not unpleasantly so... More

5 of us called in for evening food , never having been to a Brewers Fayre before and were pleasantly surprised. Warm welcome, friendly staff on a not over busy Saturday night made this an enjoyable evening. Three of us had the Chicken Buffet for £9.99, which was excellent value and reasonable quality at less than takeaway prices elsewhere. Not... More

The menu choice average for pub food, selection burgers or steak with a small selection of other choices. Food when turned up warm and lacking in originality. Stayed at hotel around the corner so convenient. Average place to go

I will struggle to find an upside to this place. I suppose the children's play area could be considered a plus point, but it's so dirty! The crumbs from the restaurant floor are all over it, and my children went in clean, and came out with food pieces ground into their clothes. Yuk. We switched tables twice too, because the... More

We had the evening meal which was hot and the breakfast which is over priced if you don't have children.

Breakfast & evening meal for 2 nights at this restaurant. Breakfast OK ... usual Premier Inn breakfast, so good selection but price is ridiculous unless you have kids in tow to take advantage of the offer. Food was OK, nothing spectacular and not much vegetarian choice, but adequate for a couple of nights.

We didn't expect much of the food, and we weren't disappointed. My gammon was a bit thin and overcooked in places, and the chips were pretty cold. All the meals we had were mass produced chain pub meals, but they weren't expensive. However they place is great if you have young kids with you, as we did. There's a fully... More

Last Saturday 12 December, I had a meal as I was staying in the Premier Inn next door. On entrance, there was a sign saying "Please wait to be seated ", and this happened quite quickly. I use a walker so I couldn't get to the bar to fetch drinks and after ten minutes, I had to ask someone to... More

I've been here before where I found staff somewhat slack and disengaging, and my recent visits showed no improvement. Brewer's Fayre pubs require orders to be taken at the bar but there seems to be no system in place preventing your vacant table to be issued to another diner. On occasion when I glanced at the bar I could see... More
