Really lovely pub, great atmosphere and fantastic choice of food and real ales. It's great to see a menu that isn't standard safe pub grub, somebody has actually put a bit of thought into it. Great choice for both veggies and meat eaters. In fact so good we ate here twice. My only criticism is... read more

A very pleasant bistro type restaurant with a good choice of food and real ale. Food well-presented and my steak cooked exactly as I asked. The real ale was great too.

Came on a Sunday evening while the quiz was on. Mainly general knowledge with a few special topics but would suit all ages. Good selection of international beers and nice surprise to be able to get a hot drink on the evening. Like most quiz nights the pub emptied as soon as it ended which was a shame as the... More

Where do I start? We were staying in Tewkesbury for a few days and were having a wander around the town when we stumbled across Theco House and decided to pop in for a coffee. As soon as we walked in it was clear that this was place full of charm and character, we were soon having a look at... More

A pleasant enough place, it's biggest benefit for us is that it is dog friendly. It has a varied menu, and a good choice of hot drinks, although the hot chocolate is dreadful and probably best avoided. There never seems to be enough staff on at coffee time, and whilst you always get your hot drink from very friendly staff,... More

I went on because it was in the Camra real ale guide. If not for that I would certainly have walked past. It was as uninviting inside as out. Bare tables and weak lighting. The real ale was very average too. Overall very disapointing. I doubt if I will go back.

Had a pleasant evening and we were happy to be moved to a different table away from an extremely noisy bunch of males! This was offered without us asking. 3 of us had fish stew which was tasty but we could not find any fish! Only prawns, calamari and mussels but all very tasty. The tempura sea bass and pork... More

I love the set up and feel of Theoc house so am sad to report that the food is so mediocre. The menu is lacklustre and a little odd, the burgers are dry and the chips are awful. Reduce the menu, do great triple cooked crispy chips and offer good quality pub grub. You don't need to do fancy but... More
