Description: 1st class Indian restaurant serving beautifully cooked Bengali & Balti cuisine. We started our meal with totally frash poppadums with an exceptional selection of dips pickles & chutneys. We enjoyed a range of starters including Onion Bhajee sheek kebab and shaslickl special. Excellent main courses included a memorable Lamb Passanda - rice and breads were 1st class. everything was served piping hot by pleasnt and caring staff in clean comfortable surroundings - just one complaint and that was the coffee could have been a better quality otherwise highly recommended by an ex hotels and restaurant inspector

We went here for a meal for two whilst on a weekend visit. The restaurant was busy, but all the waiting staff were attentive to your needs. We were greeted as soon as we walked into the restaurant by a pleasant young man and escorted to our table fairly quickly, despite how busy it was. We were given ample time... More

The Rajshahi occupies one of Tewkesbury's quirky old timber-framed buildings, so the layout's a bit random. Tables are fitted into some pretty tight places. There's a busy takeaway trade and so the waiting/bar area is often (over) crowded, and they do local deliveries as well. Unless you can find a quiet time, which is not easy, it's not a place... More

Why book a table for 3 in a curry house. The answer with the Rajshahi is that you have to because it is so popular. It is easy to see why. Once our table had been found we had a fantastic meal which really hit the spot. All cooked well and seemingly fresh. The Crocodile dish was a tasty novelty.... More

This is by far the best Indian takeaway in the area. We knew it was very popular and following it's recent awards win, we set our usual takeaway aside to try this restaurant. It took a while to get through on the phone to place our order which we took as a good sign that it is so popular! When... More

Got a recommendation for this restaurant and what a recommondation it was. Food was just too good I can't compliment it enough. My hats off to the chef. Service was great. All round great experience.

we decided to have a takeaway in our motorhome and having checked several establishments I noted this was full with a wide variety of diners. So a little later I had collected a meal which was so full of flavours. The heat was there but it didn't overpower the different spices - a really superb meal

I love this place, the food is amazing, and consistent, the staff are so friendly and welcoming and the atmosphere is nice and cosy and buzzing. Green Mosala is awesome and the peshwari naan delicious! Takeaways are always as good as the restaurant food!

Visited last Thursday and they squeezed us in as it was a really busy place! That being said, the service was good and the food was probably the best that I've had in a long while. We will return! Well done.

This restaurant has one of the most extensive indian menus that we have come across with something that will suit all tastes and palates. However, in our experience it is let down by being far too cramped, exceptionally disorganised and with very average service. We visited on a Saturday evening having booked in advance. On arrival our table was not... More

Went there on a mid week night and waited an hour for our meal, while watching people who arrived after us get their food. The staff were rude and we had ask numerous times for drink refills. When we asked to get a container for one of our curries so we could take it away we were met with a... More
