1st class Indian restaurant serving beautifully cooked Bengali & Balti cuisine. We started our meal with totally frash poppadums with an exceptional selection of dips pickles & chutneys. We enjoyed a range of starters including Onion Bhajee sheek kebab and shaslickl special. Excellent main courses included a memorable Lamb Passanda - rice and breads were 1st class. everything was served piping hot by pleasnt and caring staff in clean comfortable surroundings - just one complaint and that was the coffee could have been a better quality otherwise highly recommended by an ex hotels and restaurant inspector

A fantastic evening with amazing food and the ambiance to match. Back to the food absolutely brilliant menu things I have never seen before fish dishes, and combinations aswell very inventive and cook to perfection. A dining delight

If you love Indian cuisine like my BF and I do , this is the place to go while in the area. It's a must when we are in town. last visit I dared to have a Phall- which is the hottest level you can go and it sure was the hottest I've ever had... however even tho it was... More

We were only in Tewkesbury for one night and were lucky enough to get the last table in this restaurant It was only Thursday, so obviously very popular to be so full. When the food arrived we could understand why...it was delicious, just the right amount of heat for a rogan josh, and similarly the pathia that my husband had...very... More

This indian restaurant is the best. I have tried others and in different town/cities too but none of them can match the food and service standard as provided by RAJSHAHI. Best indian meal ever. I love the mango korma, lamb passanda, or the special curry's (chef special). Very tasty, rich, nicely presented too. The naan bread is nice and fluffy,... More

We usually have takeaways from this restaurant, which have been excellent. The portions are exceedingly generous, and there are always little extras included such as salad, dips, and poppadums. The atmosphere when dining there is very pleasant and the staff extremely friendly and efficient.

They leave the phone off the hook, it's annoying but nice when it eventually turns up, try to call them it's funny as I bet it's engaged

We love the raj and have been regular customers for years, brilliant quality food, their korma is absolutely delicious, friendly but busy staff, only let down is in store dining can be cramped with people waiting for takeaway collection, they should expand as they're obviously very popular :-)

Tasteless lamb with okra dish, no flavour no chilli at all. The meat was not cooked in the sauce and was of poor quality. They took the dish back to the chef so it came back just with added chilli. Swapped to a lamb tikka green curry. Again tasteless, bland awful. The prawn dish faired little better, also bland with... More

We went there on the 19th February. Took nearly 2 hours to get our food. Mixed experience. Some people enjoyed their naan breads but I couldn't eat mine as it had a terrible after taste. I don't drink alcohol and lived in Birmingham for 6 years. 2 of us were former West Midlanders so we were looking for a good... More
