A wonderful evening

We came in a large group and took over the whole restaurant. This was the group's second visit, but there was a long gap in between. Matt and Shiho were so welcoming and we had a tremendous meal. The food is imaginative but not too fancy. Ingredients are top quality. I had some luscious cod... read more

Ate here on a Sunday night when they are normally closed, but we booked out the entire restaurant for our large group. Excellent food, helpful and friendly staff, and overall a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Would absolutely recommend a visit if you are in Tewkesbury.

We wanted somewhere nice to eat out at on the last day of our holiday. Looked up on trip advisor and took the plunge. I called to reserve a tablet two. Well from start to finish the service was excellent, the choice of menu was good without being to extensive. It is the higher price bracket but certainly worth it.... More

It is a small place, a reservation would be a good idea, but 3 of us got in late this evening without one. They had run out of a couple of items on their small menu, one of them being the dish we wanted, but the food they did have was great. Every dish was bang on, not one note... More

What a cracking find. Returning from evensong at Worcester cathedral to our hotel in Gloucester we decided to stop in Tewkesbury. Out with the phone and log into TA. First on the list is My Great Grandfather a quick call and table booked. We eat at many fine dining restaurants and this is at least of the quality of a... More

We were recommended this place by Chris the owner of the Jessops Guest House. All I can say is the restaurant deserves it's first place ranking. I had salted squid to start with a fresh salad, Chilli and mango. Not a combination you would consider but it worked so well. I had filled steak as a main and that too... More

Took my mother for her 70th birthday meal. The restaurant is a nice small size, feels very homely. The service was fantastic. The food was great. Unfortunately I had a large lunch so I didn't have a starters, but the Main Course - Fillet beef and prawns was great. Two of our party had the Lamb Shank and raved about... More

Was slightly disappointed when arrived as they had slightly changed the menu to what was online 2 days previously when we booked so there was not as much choice on the Table De Hote menu. But it all turned out good. We settled for one course each and hubby had the crispy pork whilst I had the 8 oz fillet... More

A group of friends and I have been going to Tewkesbury to attend the medieval festival for many years and visiting this restaurant has become an annual tradition. Not once have we eaten here and been disappointed. The food is excellent with some nice twists (mussels with lavender anyone?!). Even the bread at the beginning is hand baked, delicious and... More

Our 3rd visit to this lovely restaurant and again we were not disappointed. Food and service were excellent. Their set menu never disappoints especially the crime brûlée. Staff were very friendly and a surprise birthday treat at the end of the meal.
