Nearly the worst meal I have had

But the burger in the premier inn near the m25 a few weeks ago was worse! This time I had chicken tikka, rice, hard chips, soggy naan and floppy popadum. Arriving at 9pm and hungry I expected better as I have eaten here before and it was ok. The chicken resembled rubber and there was half a tomato... read more

We visited for lunch. It wasn't very busy, but the welcome from the staff was excellent. The service was, I think, the fastest I have ever experienced. We ordered our food from the bar, helped ourselves to a drink, sat down and the food arrived at our table. The food was tasty with good portions. A bonus is the unlimited... More

We went for dinner with friends on Sunday afternoon, although busy we had great service and Lisa in particular couldnt do enough for us, nothing was too much trouble. All food came out at the same time, for our table of 16. Will go again

Good welcome (we had booked in advance) and very comfortable seats. Not pressured to order in a hurry or to eat in a hurry. Very good staff - welcoming and efficient. Food - generally good. It is pub grub but it is well done, tasty and good value for money. Will definitely visit again.

Three of us visited at lunchtime on a Tuesday at around 12.00 noon & although they were open they were ill-prepared to receive guests. Sign said " Wait here to be seated", but no one came, so we just sat down. Menus were on the table & after 10 mins or so, it then became obvious you had to go... More

Perfectly adequate whilst staying at the adjoining Premier Inn. Nothing special or outstanding but what it does do it does efficently and friendly i.e. the service from Magda. Nice to sit and relax with a drink, and enough space to do that, either as a group or singularly...

This was our first visit and will definatly be our last. We ordered a sirloin steak and a T-bone steak I asked for a side salad in place of the peas . The steaks were grisly and dry my husband had exactly 15 chips and my salad was soaked in an awful lemon dressing which was not advertised in the... More

I visited this restaurant for lunch and arrived just after noon, so was one of the first to order a lunch. However, the tables began to fill up as time went on. This is a Brewers Fayre restaurant, so you find a table and then book your food and drinks and pay at the bar. (However, when an elderly couple... More

Our daughter & partner treated my husband & I to lunch, along with their baby boy. The service was good & staff friendly, the meal arrived quite quickly, & was piping hot. There was a reasonable selection of food which was also suitable for a baby under 1 year old to share. Not having eaten at this restaurant for a... More
