Location is lovely. That's the only good thing I can say really. Well apart from the staff they are pretty friendly. We had Sunday lunch here from the carvery. The meat was tasteless the veg hard. Roast potatoes were ok. I had to spit the Yorkshire pud out because it tasted so awful. Really disappointed. The whole place could do... More

The menu had very little choice, this was saved by the fact the food was actually very tasty "gastro-pub" style. Beef burger was enjoyed by myself and the Mrs had a lasagne from the specials board which was lovely (if slightly over done on one small corner of the dish, and that's being very pedantic). All in all a nice... More

Great place for a drink, especially out by the lake, but the food, just forget it. Six of us had Sunday lunch and I can honestly say it was the worst roast I have ever had. Meat was tough and cold, the potatoes were not cooked, they were white and anaemic. And the amount of veg for 6 people was... More

Great little find this place , situated overlooking the wharf , it's a perfect venue for Sunday lunch & a few beers on the terrace . Pleasant staff and reasonable prices for meals . Do love this place for an afternoon pint in the sun !

Found a nice shady table but had a long wait for food. Disappointing as not pub prices. Did not live up to expectations, will not go back.

It's no good having a lovely setting like this and not training staff or providing good food. When I went to the bar it felt like I'd intruded in someone's living room - staff 'banter' should be kept to a staff room as should bad language. Staff just don't seem bothered or interested in providing a good service - the... More

This pub is the works local and on a blazing hot day like today it was ideal for a quick drink in the sunshine. However, the drinks here are extremely pricey and the staff need to go on a customer service course! Apart from the young lad that actually served us our food, the bar staff were really rude and... Excellent steak. We now choose to come here whenever we fancy steak. It's great to go somewhere and not be rushed. Relaxed and pleasant atmosphere. Midweek it is very quiet and you have a choice of tables in the bar area or downstairs in the restaurant. Always had great food here. The bar service for drinks and food is better... More
