Came here for lunch. Very welcoming staff and own microbrew beer. Good food and reasonable value. Chutney was particularly good.

This was my third Sunday lunch here in about 4 months and it was as good as the other two. We booked which I recommend and had a friendly welcome.A good choice of food but the home made beer is what I go for, great selection and I've tried them all.Ive got to go back because I can't quite decided which... Went for mid-week lunch. Great setting overlooking the village green. The menu was interesting and enabled all out party to easily select a meal. We sat inside at substantial scrubbed tables in a very simple, but tastefully decorated bar. Food was first class and the staff seemed to enjoy looking after every customer. We will definitely be back.

Pop in Friday evening on the off chance of a table. We were in luck, there had been a cancellation. Only meant to have a light bite, but ended up having the full spread. No complaints on the food front - my burger was great and the deserts too good! The Gypsy tart took me back to my school days.... More

We haven't visited this pub for a few years and in the past the food had always been good. The setting on the green is beautiful and we thought it would be a great spot for a family Fathers day lunch. The whole experience was extremely disappointing and this place certainly seems to have gone down hill. The service was extremely... More

This place has everything. Great setting, staff, food and atmosphere. We had Sunday lunch here and it was excellent. The quality was wonderful and the portion size was exactly what you want. Many times nowadays you go for a Sunday roast and the portions leave you hungry at the end of the meal even if the food is good quality,... More

We haven't been here for a while, not because we didn't like it, we had just been to other pubs. We were looking for somewhere in a lovely location with good food. We remembered this place and we are glad we did. The location is beautiful on the village green especially on a sunny evening. The service is unhurried but... More

Went to this pub with a group, one of whom was a regular. Arriving early, I went in to find I was the first to arrive, it felt like the scene in American Werewolf in London when they walk into the Slaughtered Lamb. The pub went silent and as a lady being stared at in total silence is very intimidating,... More

A pub I have known on and off for many years because it is in a lovely rural location, but unfortunately the service has gone down and was downright unfriendly on my last visit. We went in a 1.15 pm for a light bite on a bank holiday weekend, It was doing good trade but not hectic and there were... More

Our friends had recommended this place for good food and for some excellent beer and that is exactly what you get. Service is friendly if slightly a little unsure of itself (not a bad thing)but that doesn't detract from a place really worth coming to. The beer selection is a good mix of their own brews and some well known... More
