Description: With a combination of delicious food, great wines and a real ambience...
With a combination of delicious food, great wines and a real ambience, Café Rouge has embodied the style and je ne sais quoi of French dining since it opened way back in 1989. Café Rouge Maidstone is just the place to mull over the morning papers with a cafe au lait and a croissant, pop in for a spot of lunch, share a post-work drink or relax over an evening meal. The menu covers a range of French classics from croques and baguettes, ideal for a quick and easy snack, to more substantial fare such as steak frites and boeuf bourguignon. Likewise, the wines are predominately French; many made by lesser known producers, and provide the perfect accompaniment to the food on offer. If it's been a while since you've paid a visit, the team think you'll be surprised by how much you've missed them. No hassle, no rush, no skinny-decaf-double-shot-to-go, just a vibrant atmosphere that moves with your moods throughout the day.

I came here with my husband, mum and 16 month old daughter. We had a voucher for a free kid's dinner so thought we'd give it a try. We received a friendly welcome and were seated quickly. Our drinks and food were all delivered in good time and the food was delicious. I'd particularly recommend the Goat's cheese and beetroot... More

Having booked, when arriving it appeared to be a problem to seat us although the restaurant was almost empty (6pm !!!!!). After being sat down, without even being allowed to take our coats off the waiter was asking do we want drinks, we politely said not yet, then within seconds he was back again asking, asking about drinks and our... Went here for the first time yesterday (Saturday)for lunch with my daughter and will not be visiting again in a hurry. The decor is really nice so was expecting good service and good food. We waited over 20mins before anyone came with a menu and to ask us what we wanted to drink. After ordering the food we waited over... More

The good points: Very friendly professional server. Restaurant well decorated and clean. The bad points: The food portions quality and value for money left a lot to be desired. Popped into this place for a quick bite to eat. Was not given the menu rapide option and only noticed this once we had waited for our poulet Bretton and crevettes.... More

The menu has been updated quite a lot since our last visit with some very tempting dishes. Our waiter who was very professional took our order the brought... More

I don't usually write reviews however we had my grandads birthday here for dinner and on a busy Saturday evening everything was amazing as always. The staff are so lovely, every single one of them couldn't do enough for you. I've also been here for breakfast a couple of times and that was amazing too, I would recommend this restaurant... More
