A real shame - this restaurant is set in a beautiful location with a nice layout of restaurant. Went to celebrate a the life of a family member and we were sorely disappointed. A group of 14 of us went. Food was cold - wrong food brought out, incomplete dishes sent out. When we complained the duty manager did not... More

The wife and I decided to have a walk along the river Medway ,and decided on a lunch time snack at the Malta Inn this was at around 13.23 and was not very busy which was a surprise !! We ordered a steak baguette each and were given our drinks. At 14.00 my wife asked where our food was and... More

We popped into the Malta Inn for something to eat, having eaten there on several occasions in the past. When we arrived at around 3.30pm the car park wasn't full so I was expecting the restaurant to be relatively empty...When we entered there was an air of chaos about the place. There was no one to greet us at the... More

Visited with two friends for a meal. Was shown to a table that hadn't been laid. Starters were ok but had to ask for knifes and forks to eat them with. Had to wait for ages for main to arrive and again had to ask fro knifes and forks. The supervisor who served the meals just walked off and ignored... More

Visited the Malta inn on a hot summers day, really busy as you would expect but never enough bar staff to cope with the numbers, they miss out on trade as people end up walking off

copy of email sent to head office in October 2014 - no response received The Beefeater menu at the Malta - what a bizzarre meal presentation you have. What on earth made someone in your organisation think an airline style presentation with fries in cups, coleslaw in odd looking jars and burgers with plastic sticks through them placed on a... More

What has happened to this place!! Waitress was ok and starters seemed usual standard but my main meal that is usually delicious has changed beyond all recognition. The Paprika chicken was flavourless, dry and burnt and also must have been frozen chicken. Why have they messed about with it, to save money I suspect!!! Puddings were ok but we won't... More

Our family of four went to the Malta Inn for lunch last Sunday. Despite it was busy with diners we didn't have to wait for a table. The restaurant was full of families since Beefeaters must be one of the favourite for families. The ambiance of the restaurant was warm and friendly. If you sit by the window then there... More

Such a lovely location is ruined by this hopeless chain 'Beefeater' delivering sub-standard food by poorly trained staff. Awful in just about every respect.

Came here as couldn't get in at the Harvester. Wasn't expecting great food as only eating out as we have no kitchen at the moment! Service was slow despite the restaurant being fairly empty, our waitress however was friendly and helpful. The food was as expected although quite expensive for whys you get, £1.49 for a sauce to go with... More
