1st time in Maidstone and we were looking for a quick bite and we came across this place. Food was wonderful. I had a bacon and egg buttie and my girlfriend had a toasted sandwich.Lovely presentation and the food itself was very tasty. Cozy surroundings and great service.

Had a great breakfast here at the weekend!! They're always very busy so you have to pick your times to go, especially if there's more than four of you. The staff are attentive and sweet, perfect for this little quirky cafe. Had the bubble and poached eggs and husband had the brunch! Excellent and not your greasy spoon style fodder.... More

Have heard lots about this cafe so decided to treat myself on sunday to a breakfast as I was passing by . The staff were friendly and polite but very busy . I decided to have poached eggs on bubble and squeak with roundwood orchard bacon and hollondaise . The eggs were very hard the bubble and squeak was watery... More

We visit the Living Cafe Maidstone several times a week. It is a great cafe, with a lovely atmosphere. At the weekend, they have the B team serving. They don't pay attention to the order, spill the coffee when serving (and don't apologise), wait for the coffee to get cold before bringing the cakes and then don't include the special... More

The food served was all freshly cooked and although it took some time to be served it was worth the wait, disappointing that the toast was served when I'd nearly finished eating. The staff or maybe the owner were very noisy and somewhat spoilt the calm atmosphere. Some people maybe should think that not everyone wants to hear their conversation.... More

Never been here before but it's worth a visit, very friendly service, fresh cooked food in a nice atmosphere, the brownies were fab. Reasonable prices too. We will be back.

We visited here on the Bank Holiday, it had been a while since our last visit as although the food is always good (good specials, breakfast, lunch and amazing cakes!) we were always slightly disappointed with a somewhat slow service. I'm glad we went back as the service was much better, I hadn't seen the waitresses that were working before,... More

The waitresses were very welcoming and helpful (I have wheat, soya, onion and beef allergy so asked if this and that were ok, they checked with the chef and proposed something else if it wasn't). The seating area seems very small but there is actually another room downstairs. Toilets are outside for this "old times feel" as they say, but... More
