Great place, tough steaks!

We stopped in on a Sunday afternoon, it was quiet, cosy and relaxed! We both ordered the rump steaks and were quite disappointed to find they were very tough despite choosing med/rare. The accompaniments were very tasty however, and the beer was good too.

We often joke... 'Lets go to the white rabbit...l they won't have half the things we want to order, they will miss things off or serve something in place of something we ordered if they don't have exactly what's described on the menu... The service is well meaning even though it's shambolic.. But at least it usually tastes good' Not... More

I adore the rustic aspect of this place, the warm atmosphere and the great food. I enjoyed the house wine and a large bowl of pasta. The staff were friendly and catered to customers needs.

Looks lovely both inside and out, but really disappointing. Would sooner go to a better local nearby. Food was good, I neither liked or disliked very average. The garden was pleasant for a drink but very seemed cramped and rather run down. Wouldn't go back out of choice. For the sake of a mile and a half up the road one... More

Four of us on an evening out tried this place for the first time. The booking process was straight forward and the table was ready on time with no delays. Unfortunately our experience goes downhill rapidly after that. Staff were polite enough but poorly trained, dropping cutlery and forgetting orders. Our order was taken promptly but we waited three quarters... More

Imagine celebrating your mum's 70th birthday party with family and friends - a party of 23. Imagine being served your pre-ordered starter before all the party arrive. Then imagine asking to order drinks which then arrive whilst we are eating our starter. Finally, I though the object of sitting at a restaurant was to eat together. Actually the birthday girls... What a beautifully laid out place - with different elegantly decorated rooms, and interesting nooks and crannies. Loved the atmosphere. Our waitress SophieLouise was an absolute delight. Food was good too.

Four of us pre ordered our Christmas Lunch at this restaurant. We did not have starters so there was a bit of a wait for the main course. Two of us had the turkey which was very good except my brussels were rock hard so had to leave them. The others had the short rib of beef which was very... More
