Made the brief drive to The Crooked Billet after a day at Bletchley Park. The new owners are enthusiastic and very welcoming. Each of us had a lovely bar meal and pudding -no complaints at all. Good atmosphere too.Good choice of real ale. Rounded off a very enjoyable day.

Great food, lovely surroundings, excellent customer service, very friendly staff, good selection of food to choose from like venison hotpot, monkfish, Jacobs ladder to name a few. Just a little pricey for a non gastro pub.

Pub is about 2 miles from Bletchley Park. Staff are very friendly. New owner just took over 5 weeks ago. Bar menu is very good. My sister had a steak sandwich which she said was the best she had tasted for a long time. They have a bar menu and a restaurant menu. The pub does Sunday roast. They have... More

Refreshing change in management has brought the place back to life. Good menu on offer and food excellently prepared, whether you want a quick lunch or a very nice evening meal. Really good wine list and varied beer offer from Greene King. Looking forward to cosy visits by the open fire in the winter and making good use of the... More

We stayed in the b&b close by and walked to this place for an evening meal. You could see that this restaurant is under new ownership. Staff was not quite settled down yet. But they were helpful and tried their utmost. The main courses (Jacobs Ladder) And John Dory were well prepared. The starters were somewhat disappointing, but may be... More

We had an awful meal at the crooked billet, the food was luke warm and very little of it! The owner "Bigged" up the place and told us how it was the best pub/ restaurant in Milton Keynes, if they think that then they'd better close, refurbish, train the staff to smile and get a new cooker that heats the... Under new ownership and doing great! They had just launched a new menu which had a good choice and was well priced. The wine list was very good as well, would recommend for special occasions, business dinners or even just for a few drinks in the bar area.

We visited for dinner over the weekend. After the starter and main, all was okay except the wine - which was rough to say the least (Malbec - one of the most expensive 'by the glass' red £7.95?). I say okay because it was okay and edible but not impressive - the mashed potato had a taste of olive oil... More
