We looked for somewhere nearby as we were staying up overnight for the Silverstone Classic Car racing. This appeared to have good reviews. I started with mussels, and my partner chose whitebait. Mine was a good choice, and my partner enjoyed his though he felt they may have been out of a packet! I... read more

Eat with three friends on a Saturday evening. Service got slower as the evening went on and we were very disturbed by an exceedingly loud party from the local cricket club having a presentation evening in the bar - there are no doors between the "trattoria" and the bar. The food was ok but the evening spoiled by the service... More

We have eaten here three times and just got round to reviewing it. First time was pizza which were quite large and very tasty, priced around £8 to £10. Last two times were special occasions so we had the 8oz fillet steak Rossini. Served on a brioche (bread) with duck pate. Comes with a Madeira jus and pancetta (bacon bits).... More

Had a lovely meal here with four friends this evening and am very keen to sing its praises: friendly and knowledgeable staff, super Italian food, great value for money and lovely setting. We are sure to return.

Turned up without booking but they had loads of space in the garden next to the picturesque canal, nice and quiet and the weather was good. Food was a little delayed but arrived well presented and at a good temperature even after the walk from the kitchen. Pasta was fresh and perfectly cooked and a generous portion. Good selection of... I have reviewed before but now the beers on tap are understood by waiters and they explain what beers are on. Food was excellent this time - fish stew to die for! relaxed and pleasant atmosphere despite being short staffed

A very friendly pub with good service. We found the food very average, our meatballs were a little on the tough side and the carbonerra was okay. Their mixed salad was fresh and of a generous portion. They have free wifi which was great as we were on the canal and had moored for lunch.

Although the restaurant is like a café the food wsa superb. The pasta was very fresh and the meal was obviously cooked to order rather than being preprepared. The creamy sauce was delicious. It was a shame that the cheescake was so fresh that it hadn't actually set when we orderd it but the gelati was a more than adequate... More

A fair selection of starters and mains. The 3 of us chose to have pasta, a good portion size, could have done with a bit more seasoning. Good service. Reasonably priced drinks and food. Would recommend.

I lead a team of about 20 staff, and my PA booked on my behalf a special occasion celebratory team lunch for the team for a £16.95 a head buffet, for Monday 15th June. She made the booking over two weeks in advance, and was advised when she enquired about deposits that we didn't need to pay anything in advance.... More
