I was here here with my dad and sister for a quick lunch. We hadn't been to Wolverton House since it was a Brewers Fayre, the food was good back then and service was good too. We arrived at 12:45 and were told we had to wait for 15-20 minutes for a table because they had a rush and the... More

You get what you pay for. The food is cheap and good, it’s not an a la carte listing restaurant, but it is whole hearty food. And cheap. Also breakfast are great.

16 of us went for dinner, including 11 children aged between 1 & 9 years of age. It was ideal for a carvery dinner & a good bit of playtime in their garden area, the kids loved it & enjoyed the food. You get what you pay for, so it's nothing fancy...which makes it ideal for children. You don't feel... More

we went for sunday lunch at 5.30 this afternoon, it was really really busy. the playground was closed for the grandkids which was disappointing for them, there was a sign that said closed for health and safety reasons, we queued for 25 minutes at the carvery, in the end the daughter asked for her money back, the rest of us... We visited Wolverton house this week. The approach to the building is very impressive. Lovely kept garden and lawns. A very welcoming entrance. Greeted by friendly staff who explained how we ordered and our options. The beer is very reasonably priced and a very good pint. The meat at the serving area looked tender and succulent. A varied selection of... More

Good for small children with outside play area. The food is OK and reasonably priced. I go their with my younger grand children and they always enjoy it.

No frills but a nice country house filled with a chain calvery returant. Bit pricey on a sunday but what do you expect. The rest of the week its fine. The ale is fairly cheap and the carvery is good enough for the money you pay (during the week) The grounds are nice and set away from busy roads. Can't... More

The Bad - could do with a major makeover and the nappy change facilities in the gents are awful (as are the gents) The good - friendly staff and value for money The beef can be dry, but the gammon is always fantastic. Don't like turkey but my wife says it is fine. You pay more for a McDonalds or... More

Husband and I discovered Wolverton House a few years ago and during that time we have often been there for lunch. For about £10 for two you get the best roast beef you could ask for, I must admit I couldn't cook it better,a vast variety of vegetables not over or under cooked to my taste. Two choices of gravy... As carveries go this is quite good, lots to choose from and if you pick the right time the queue is not too long. I think this is my favourite of the Crown Carvery group. My only criticism is the steps as I find these difficult
