We regularly travel along the M3 past Basingstoke and on a trip back from Dorset we looking for a Thai meal. The Lime Leaf is not too far from the M3 junction so we thought we'd give it a go. Parking was easy in a car park behind it. We stayed downstairs which I believe is more cafe style than... More

Just reminding travellers to Basingstoke and locals alike that we have an excellent Thai restaurant here. Went again after a big day our last Thursday and the Masaman Curry is just the best ever. Warning: Portions can be LARGE and a set Menu may be more than you need to eat!

Lots of people I know really like this restaurant. And I can't seem to figure out why. The service is mediocre, the food is reasonable though, but not amazing. Not the best Thai food I have eaten, nor the worst. Just somewhere in the middle. So if that's what you are aiming for, then go for it!

Been recommended this place by my parents and many others around town, so thought I'd give it a try... and my first Thai meal. Phoned and booked in advanced, unfortunately we were late due to delayed trains but the restaurant were more than accommodating. I would certainly be eating Thai food again and defiantly be recommending and visiting The Lime... More

Well Thai food is not always to everyone's taste, often too spicy, but here, yes you can get spicy hot but you can also get much more gentle dishes, which have elicate flavours, different form other far eastern cooking. This place is small but the food is lovely and the staff are equally lovely, nothing too much trouble, and that... More

I hosted a work dinner function here for 12 people on 27 May 15. We had a room upstairs to ourselves. The service was good: starters arrived together and then all the mains together at the right time and without a significant wait. We were served by a young man who was polite and cheerful. The menu was varied and... More

A colleague recommended this restaurant. It doesn't look much from the outside and inside the restaurant is a little pokey. BUT The food is excellent and that's why you must visit! Good value for money. Restaurants in Basingstoke are plenty but mostly average. This is not fine dining but it is good.

Thank you for taking the trouble to post this review. I am glad you enjoyed your meal. Now you have found us we look forward to welcoming you back. The "pokey" reference suggests you were seated in the small downstairs area. The main dining area is on the upper floor where we have seating for 50 covers. More

My second time eating here. I've thoroughly enjoyed the food both times. On this occasion I was able to chat a little bit with David, one of the owners. We were discussing the merits of authentic Isaan food. Isaan is where I live and whilst I enjoy most of the food at home I know that much of it would... More
