Lunch with family

Arrived mid afternoon seated straight away, glasses and a water jug put on table without asking. Ordered at the bar unfortunately sold out of one meal requested. All three meals were tasty and well presented. Portion sizes adequate but not over generous. I have eaten in other restaurants for less... read more

There were 4 in our party. Three of us had the sweet potato& goats cheese pie. The fourth had Roast beef. The meal was hot, very tasty and well presented. The staff were very helpful and courteous. The atmosphere was good and the restaurant almost full at the time we were in. I will be going again.

It's an alright place. I think a bit expensive for what it is. It's more of a family place in my eyes and although the food was good (we had he goats cheese and sweet potato pie) it was a bit on the higher end of pricing for pub grub. That being said I would go back its a not... More

We have been having our annual Christmas lunch here for the past 10 years, as a group of ex nurses, our group has varied in size from 18 of us to this year only 8 but each year we thoroughly enjoy our meal here, we all have the lighter meal which is for seniors only, as we find a three... More

We visited mid afternoon on New Year's Eve. It wasn't busy and there was a pleasant atmosphere. The service was good. The food was OK. My wife enjoys the chicken dippers which are part of the combo but many years ago were a starter dish. Every time I visit I pay a different price for 'chicken dippers and chips'. This... More

We enjoyed a family late lunch at Tavern Fayre on the 26th., the food was super, as usual the staff were very accommodating, efficient, and pleasant. There were six of us, all having something different to eat and drink, it was all spot on, cant praise them enough, superb value.

Ok if you like over-priced frozen food. We had the pork burger and the penne, neither of which were enjoyable. Would not eat here again.

I have been a couple of times this month, and enjoyed my meal both times. The Staff were courteous, friendly and helpful. The Lounge part is very comfortable and nice for a chat and Coffee. The service is quick. It is quite a large building and the atmosphere is worth going in for. You can have light meals, which makes... More
