Welcome to the Toby Carvery Watergate Toll. When it comes to roast dinners, we really know our stuff. Every day our chefs lay on a feast of tender, hand-carved meats with all the trimmings – including towering Yorkshire puds, golden roasties with all those lovely little crunchy bits, and plenty of freshly prepared veg, all crowned with proper gravy. So it's no wonder we're Bolton’s favourite carvery restaurant. Drop by and you'll find lots more on offer, including cooked breakfasts and tasty specials.

Family Get Together

We visited this pub as a party of four, just as a family get together on a Wednesday evening. We got there around 630pm and it seemed fairly busy. A spur of the moment thing, we found this the nearest to us, we got there and luckily the carvery had just started. We were welcomed and told we could sit anywhere we please, we were soon asked would we like drinks, we had 4 meats to choose from Turkey/lamb/Gammon & beef. there was plenty of veg to satisfy, the... We arrived at 9:10 on Sunday morning (10 mins after it opened) for a family breakfast - 4 adults 2 children. There were colouring pages for the children but no crayons. The baked beans container was empty and there were no hash browns or potatoe rostie available. I asked a staff member if they could get these for me and... More

We normally frequent another Toby Carvery but was passing this today after a 2 hour drive and was disappointed. Although we were seated quickly the wait at the carvery was excessive due to the carver just disappearing for sausages apparently ! He was gone for a good 10 mins and a long queue developed ! Then disappeared again for a... More

This is a good place to go if you fancy a roast dinner and can't be bothered cooking. It is reasonably priced and the food is good. There is a great selection of potatoes and veg. I also found that the meat is never dry- which is something i notice at a carvery (probably something to do with the lights).... More

Firstly I would like to point out that we love Toby and use your restaurants frequently because they are clean, the service is great and the food is always fresh and hot.......not this morning however. We arrived at 9.30am for an unlimited breakfast, upon arrival the front of the restaurant was full of litter, the ashtray was so full it... More

We visited on the Sunday after Christmas as we were treating our family, who actually live in Farnworth to a meal before we departed back to our home in Cyprus. We have eaten here on many occasions and have previously been totally satisfied with both food and service. The Carvery at 1230 was not overly busy and five out of... More
