Welcome to the Toby Carvery Watergate Toll. When it comes to roast dinners, we really know our stuff. Every day our chefs lay on a feast of tender, hand-carved meats with all the trimmings – including towering Yorkshire puds, golden roasties with all those lovely little crunchy bits, and plenty of freshly prepared veg, all crowned with proper gravy. So it's no wonder we're Bolton’s favourite carvery restaurant. Drop by and you'll find lots more on offer, including cooked breakfasts and tasty specials.

We called for breakfast here the other day and arrived about an hour after opening. On entering, it wasn't clear whether we should wait for a table (as the sign said), or if the rules were different for breakfast. We waited a little while but nobody appeared, and there was nobody behind the bar either, so we walked into the... More

We had a late breakfast here today. Plenty of well prepared food, although the eggs looked to have been there a few minutes. Excellent value for money, but the approach road is a bit rough. We would visit again.

Meat is usually rather dry. Service poor. All sauces were empty and waited 10 minutes to get them filled by which time my food was cold. Staff not always fully engaged about requests. However, for a cheap filling meal, it's good value. Don't go for a healthy meal but go if you are hungry.

We visited this pub as a party of four, just as a family get together on a Wednesday evening. We got there around 630pm and it seemed fairly busy. We waited five minutes for a greeter who eventually arrived and offered us as a table at the rear of the restaurant. I noticed as I walked through that there was... More

A spur of the moment thing, we found this the nearest to us, we got there and luckily the carvery had just started. We were welcomed and told we could sit anywhere we please, we were soon asked would we like drinks, we had 4 meats to choose from Turkey/lamb/Gammon & beef. there was plenty of veg to satisfy, the...
