The best meal I've had in a long while - friendly staff, tasty food, accommodating chef, lovely ambience. The best part was the chef/staff's willingness to offer an assortment of fish/dessert in place of a single fish/dessert dish.

Went for the first time to 'Nicks' in Westhoughton having been to their Bolton restaurant a number of times before and was delighted to find that the standard set by Bolton has not been compromised. Much more comfortable space to relax in prior to dining and a lovely atmosphere created by the interior design and the warm welcome. Lots of... More

Although on a main street, this restaurant is virtually hidden by take aways, broken down buildings and mini marts ! However, be brave and enter - it opens up inside to (on the night we visited) a buzzing gem. The staff were all extra friendly and attentive, without being on top of you. The Mediteranean menu is supplemented by a... More

Booked here on a recommendation and almost didn't go in as I have to admit the location did seem a bit off putting initially- the restaurant has a very small exterior and is tucked away on a main road, surrounded by take always, 24 hour shops etc. I'm so pleased we went in, we were met by a delightful setting,... The geographical location of this restaurant is something of a surprise. Not a location you would expect such a high standard restaurant to be. The staff are friendly and helpful. They are obviously trained with "service" in mind and it would be difficult to find fault. The food is delicious and the menu comprehensive and imaginative. Superb standards all round.

I was looking for a nice meal in bolton with my partner and stumbled upon Nick's on Google and thought I'd give it a go. I was worried that it looked a bit pricey but my God it was worth it. Fantastic food - with a specials board bigger than the menu and beautiful presented and cooked food, a comprehensive... More

Can't get tired of this place. The only restaurant around really. Fresh produce always, well prepared, well presented and service always with a smile. Seen them handle some very awkward customers, never an issue. My Father lives near St Emilion in France. He loves his food and wine! He's still raving about dinner 3 weeks later. Don't go and moan... Finally came here last night after meaning to come for years. I was always too late booking. Started off with a Mojito each which were perfectly made. Had the king prawns and then the rack of lamb. I then finished off with the sticky toffee pudding. We washed this down with a lovely Cabernet Sauvignon; all were absolutely gorgeous. If... More
