Since its refurb some years back, the Dukes Head really does set itself out as a gastro pub with some nice touches. Its hard to miss on the roundabout, is always busy and probably worth booking if you want to get a table at a weekend or on a sunday. Quite a large number of tables, and a bar area... More

Food great, however the manager on duty I think his name was Sham or something like that is rude and especially to his staff. He was shouting at one of the waitresses whilst we where dining on the table next to where he was shouting at her. I felt sorry for her - the evening felt very uncomfortable and I... More

All the food we ordered was great and good value for money. However, the waiters and waitresses were all very loud and kept interrupting our meal. We had to wait over 15 min for our desserts but after we complained they offered us free coffees.

The dukes head shocked me. I was not expecting such a warm comfortable atmosphere. The young waiter was knowledgeable about his menu and wine. I was disappointed they had ran out of my particular wine but I was recommended another and it was nice. The food was exceptional, steak was cooked to perfection . My wife's a vegetarian and really... More

We had the burgers - which had no flavour - dry as anything . Just thrown together. Chips where over cooked . All in all a high let down . Will not be going again .

Anniversary meal venue. Nice welcome, quickly offered drinks, and as they were ready was met and shown to our table. Good start. Waitress was really knowledgeable, and followed up by the manager who was in good spirits. Meal was great, we both really enjoyed it. Would definitely go back to this place.

Visited on a Monday. This was the second time that neither starter was available. Only one main course chosen was available. It is local to us so although disappointed last time decided to try again. Sadly still the same.

This is my second visit to this restaurant recently yet this time unfortunately the service was not as good. Between starters and mains was 3/4 hour wait when it was not as busy as the last time we were there so no idea what the hold up was as no explanation given just apologies. The food however is still excellent... More

Went for a meal this evening and on the whole it was very good. Lovely lication and building. The guy who appeared to be dealing with seating everyone needs to be dressed more appropriately or at least invest in belt to hold his tatty jeans up (should be smarter being front of house)! The rest of the staff were smart... More

We decided to stop at The Dukes Head on the way home from Reigate. We were greeted by a scruffy manager, in jeans which hardly covered his bottom ,shirt casually worn and a tea towel tucked into to his belt. The waiters and waitresses were immaculately dressed and very attentive. We enjoyed our meal, the food was excellent. For an... More
