We were staying 1 night at a local hotel before flying out of Gatwick and had arranged to meet a friend here at 8:30 but didn't arrive until 9:00 due to some awful weather on our journey down. When we arrived the staff were very friendly and showed us to our table and took our drink orders straight away, noticing... More

We visited The Duke's Head (off the roundabout between the A264 and the B2028 Turners Hill Road in Crawley Down, don't know why it says Church Walk which doesn't appear anywhere near there on the map) to celebrate my birthday. I had been wanting to try this restaurant for a special occasion since it changed hands (it was a Beefeater... More

We went there Sunday tea time very busy. Good choice of food for meat eaters but if you don't like parsnip Stilton and nut roast as a vegetarian there is no other choice . I have also looked at there Christmas and Boxing Day menu and there main is also parsnip Stilton and nut roast just worded differently ? So... More

We popped in for a quick bite and found a beautiful gastro pub. It had fantastic staff and a wealth of Ales, Beers and wines. We were presented with a lovely menu, the food was beautiful plated and full of flavour. A place not to be missed.

First, let's be clear. The Dukes Head is situated just off the roundabout on the A264 midway between Crawley and East Grinstead, not in 'Church Walk' as the TripAdvisor address shows. Moving on then, we have been there several times and have always found the staff friendly and attentative, the food has always been consistently good although not outstanding but... More

Always make a point of visiting this pub when I'm down south visiting friends. The menu is very good with something for everyone. Love the decor. The staff are always friendly and professional. Very clean place. Never an issue.

I went to the dukes head for lunch today with my partner and was welcomed at the door by a member of the management team who swiftly found us a nice table by the window. All of the floor staff we very helpful and friendly, provided superb knowledge and guidance as to what we should have to eat and drink.... More

Went for dinner, very difficult to distinguish between staff and customers as management wearing normal clothing. Management very rude whilst waiting staff very helpful. Avoid at all costs!when asked why management and staff dressed differently, I was met with hostility!!!

My girlfriend and I moved to Crawley less than two years ago, and finding this place shortly afterwards was one of the most fortuitous experiences we've had. We appreciate good food, ale and wine (myself the ale more so) and a good pub atmosphere; The Duke's head has all of the above. They recognise and remember us each time, are... More
