Lovely pub restaurant

Popped in early Saturday evening for dinner. Friendly and efficient staff, and very tasty starter and mains. I can highly recommend the Guinea fowl dish, yum! The puddings were a little disappointing, hence 4 not 5 stars. I will certainly visit another premium country pub in my area... read more

We went to this pub/restaurant after leaving Gatwick airport a few weeks ago. We wanted somewhere that could serve us quickly in nice surroundings. The Dukes Head was like a little peace of heaven. The staff were fantastic, so friendly and welcoming and the food was delicious. I had a Sunday roast - yum! The food is great, staff great,... More

Having arrived early following a reservation my wife and I purchased a bottle of wine. Unfortunately the tables outside were either unclean or cluttered with glasses. When going to our booking the table we had asked to be reserved was at the exact time being occupied. Even though we had specifically reserved a table none was reserved. The menu appeared... More

Booked this through Bookatable and managed to book for a week later by mistake! However when the mistake was discovered we were sorted out with a table swiftly and without being made to feel even more foolish than I felt already! This was in spite of it being a busy Saturday evening. I was most grateful for this as I... More

I must start this review with a sincere request for any of you with young children to stay away from this place !!! , last month me and my wife and our 7year old daughter visited the Dukes head for the first time, after a 15 minute wait for a menu on a filthy table that smelt absolutely god awful... Nice pub, always busy, you can usually get a table but it’s advisable to book to be sure. Food is good and they seem to manage well even when very busy. Plenty of parking.

The Dukes Head is very much a "gastric pub", with very stylist interiors and slick service to match. The food was very nicely presented and tasted very good. For me and this is just a personal thing, I prefer food a little less fancy on the plate and a tad more down to earth. You certainly will not feel over... More

We had good time, the food was reasonable and the service was very good, I wouldn't recommend the Pizza though.

Thirteen of us from two families arranged a reunion lunch at this restaurant. The familiesp shared summer holidays in Worthing when pre-secondary school but had dispersed to the world thereafter. We ordered from the comprehensive menu and enjoyed the courses whilst busy catching up all those years. Seated at a long table, several changes of seat were needed to ensure... More
