Good lunch time meal out.

We have eaten here on several occasions and it has always been very good. However, today we had a long wait between courses and the meal for one of the party wasn't good. Probably wont go back again

Used this place numerous times over the years when flying from Gatwick. Food and service is top notch and well priced for the quality. Only have to wait another year before returning.

Hadn't been here for a while but selected this reputable 'fine dining' pub for our Valentines celebration. My wife and I were not disappointed. Excellent service from switched-on young servers, nice cover and above all, sound wholesome food. Good portion of scallops for my starter followed by the lamb (twice) which was also generously portioned, served rare and well-presented. To... More

We drove into the Dukes Head at about 10pm, after picking up our car from the APH car park, just along the road. We were a bit concerned because it was late, and we didn't want any " dried up" left overs. The waitress was charming, and cheerful, even tho' it was the end of the day, nothing was too... More

The Dukes Head have hit it on the nail and should be giving other Pub/restaurants training courses on how to do it right! I recently visited here and I have to say it is THE BEST Pub/restaurant I have eaten at! The place itself it well lit in the bar, seating and entrance area with many different options on were... While we often 'drop in' and food always good, telephone manner is abysmal. E.g. you can take dogs into the bar area and eat there. But if you have a disabled family member with you and need to book a table in the bar where you can take your dog, the answer was no, then immediately 'goodbye followed by hang-up.... More

Too start may I recommend the sticky ribs as it says on the packet sticky and well tasty, much to the annoyance of my fellow dinner guests, then to top it off I my Pigs cheeks with sweet potato mash arrived!!their rib eye look perfectly presented and apparently well cooked to their preference's but I won the day with my... Booked at the last minute and were really impressed with the food. The service could have been better - the manager was not aware what was not available on the menu and attracting staff for a drink was a bit of a challenge however it was really busy. Would definitely return with the family.

We were looking for a light lunch. Opted for chicken pate which was £7 something! My husband had a more substantial pulled pork sandwich with fries which I didn't really like. We sat in the bar area which was cosy. The restaurant part looked very inviting and the menu was the same. I would look for a cheaper lunch venue... More
