Went there for Christmas dinner, the food in my staff canteen is better, staff seem nice but Not really interested. My wife laddered her tights on a splinter on the table but staff just shrugged it off

Looks promising from the outside, nice inside but the food was pretty poor - had a turkey dinner and was served a chopped up turkey roll rather than a quality carved turkey - not impressed especially given the price. Staff not particularly attentive either. Won't be bothering going back

Return visit to The Duke's Head after a break of a few years. The quality and size of portion exceeded expectation especially during the Christmas season when demand often exceeds availability . Service efficient and pleasant. Considering that they were busy, they did not rush us to move on

Staying locally at gatwick hotel we ventured to nearest pub and found this impressive pub on a roundabout. It was absolutely packed at 6.30 pm but several Xmas parties going on. Nice menu..pork belly to die for ..great value..started our holiday off well...

I have visited the Dukes Head many times, and although it has always been a bit pricey the standard of the food was extremely high. I was very disappointed on this occasion, as the food has gone downhill in my opinion. I ordered the pie, and when I broke into the crust the dish was only half filled with meat.... More

Thank you for a lovely lunch. We had delicious food and great service, can recommend the slow roasted salt beef hash, with sautéed potatoes and fried egg.

We went to the Dukes Head for a family lunch to celebrate our son's 40th Birthday. The food was excellent and they were more than happy to serve our twin granddaughters quickly so that we could relax and enjoy our meal while they played. We were able to bring in a Birthday Cake etc and I everyone joined in singing... More

Myself, my two sisters, our partners and my Dad ate here last night. We had booked in advance and because they were so busy were given a 2 hour slot. We had a dedicated waiter serve us throughout the evening and he was really attentive without being over the top. I opted for fish and chips for the main, and... More

Visited the pub on a Saturday evening as a party of six. Had a few pre-meal drinks in the bar and service was very slow. Moved to the restaurant with a table close to the front door and so was a bit of a cool spot. Although the food order was taken in a reasonable amount of time, arrival of... More
