Description: Bistro Les Chats is a traditional French bistro where all our dishes are...
Bistro Les Chats is a traditional French bistro where all our dishes are made on the premises with fresh ingredients. We use organic produce where practical and when it tastes the best. Our meat comes mainly from Wiltshire farms, with some specialist items coming from Rungis market in Paris; our chicken is always free range, our eggs are free range organic from Purton House Organics. Fish comes fresh daily, mainly from Cornwall, some from Scotland. Our menu changes monthly to reflect seasonal availability of fresh produce. We also offer a carefully chosen wine selection and range of French beers and ciders. Fixed price lunch and early evening menus are available, as well as a la carte. Reservations are recommended, particularly at weekends, but not always necessary. All our desserts and pastries are made on the premises and celebration cakes and gateaux can be made to order.

Formula Rapide is the best value quality lunch in the town!

Beautiful food, lovely service, great value. A little drop of provincial France in the heart of Swindon. Would go everyday!

Back from another enjoyable lunch at Les Chat. Set menu is excellent value, some of the best omelettes and streak frites I have had outside of Paris (and the chocolate mousse is very hard to resist too). A good selection of reasonably priced wines and a pleasant Bistro atmosphere. It does get busy and can feel a bit noisy when... More

Les Chats provides a genuine taste of France in Swindon's Old Town. We enjoyed a typical French Bistro meal on Friday. My wife's starter was Maquereau a la Rhubarbe which she thoroughly enjoyed and I sampled the Salade au Chevre - very French and very tasty. For the main course, we had the chicken and the pork, both of which... More

We visited Bistro Les Chats today for the first time on the launch of their brunch menu. All I can say is, what a treat - the food was delicious and the service was perfect. My Eggs Benedict was cooked to perfection and my partner's omelette was lovely. We will definitely be back.

We took my sister and brother-in-law there on Saturday, the meal was wonderful, all starters/mains nice and hot and perfectly cooked. The staff are friendly and efficient and I can't wait to go back and work my way through the menu :)

A very friendly place with an authentic French ambiance. The Flan au Roquefort et aux Noix was outstanding, two of them & a dessert !!! Service was good with the staff being attentive but also unobtrusive, will certainly return.

We visited early on Thursday evening and although there was just one other table occupied when we arrived at 6.00pm, the place gradually got busier so there was a reasonable atmosphere as the evening passed. We started with Crab tart for me and Mackerel for my wife, followed by Lamb and Pork respectively and finished off with Crème Brulee and... More

Great service, great food, prices are slightly above average but fair for the quality of the food. Would definitely return.

We were introduced to this wonderful restaurant by my sister & brother-in-law and what a treat it turned out to be! The friendly and intimate ambience and attentive service are just the begining, the food is amazing and I do mean amazing! When we next visit Swindon we will definitely be back at Les Chats.

Just had a Wedding Anniversary lunch at Bistro Les Chats, and it was great, a true taste of France, with lovely ambiance and friendly staff but the food is the star, haven't eaten French food this good since we were in Le Buisson de Cadoin!. Try the PaIn Perdu, not lost on me! Hope to go again soon.
