In-laws live nearby so worth a visit but a bit pricey compared to curry houses in old town. Nice atmosphere, good food and service. If local would recommend!

I visited this restaurant with colleagues from work whilst in Swindon. Visited on a Wednesday night, very quiet. In a group of 9. I had been warned beforehand that it was on the pricey side, so I went, aiming to keep my spend to a minimum, as I am a student. I ordered Khatte Baingan as my main, for £8.... More

The food is exquisite. The staff are impeccable: friendly and welcoming, yet discreet. My husband and I have eaten in most Indian restaurants around the area and this exceeds all others by a country mile. The owner is welcoming, fun and an absolute gentleman. Worthy of number one Indian restaurant in Wiltshire. Well done!

Fabulous welcome, attentive and prompt service. Loved the tamarind chutney with the popadums - a bit different. Had the chicken and sage balti with a delicious naan. Not at all greasy and beautifully cooked. Recommended.

Lots of parking and a warm welcome as you arrive. Intimate interior, nicely styled with beautifully set tables and nice bathroom (well the Ladies' room is). The menu is very good -excellent choice and a few different dishes. Not just the run of the mill dishes, quite a few speciality dishes. Nice descriptions of the dishes. Staff are quick with... More

To people saying the service was slow, maybe it's not as fast as the average generic curry house that just shoves meat into ready made sauce. The food here is prepared on a dish by dish basis, and each dish has a unique and characterful flavour, so it's going to take a little longer. The food was wonderful, the staff... More

We recently visited here for a friends birthday. The food here is absolutely brilliant, and we ordered various different dishes off the menu, all of which were excellent. The problem here is the incredibly slow service. There are plenty of staff in the restaurant, but despite it being a very quiet Thursday night everything just took forever. We arrived at... More

My partner and I go to the Burj very often. We have been going since it opened and have never had any complaints. We love their food and the staff are extremely welcoming. It is different to other curry houses because their menu is more adventurous and the atmosphere is more laid back and cosy. The restaurant has a side... More

Although the staff were slightly flustered and took ages to take our order it was more out of over-trying with other customers than not being attentive. The food was delicious and featured unusual dishes not normally found in your average curry house. It is slightly on the expensive side for a curry but definitely worth it.

I had heard rumours that the food here was good but that the service was very slow and not great. This was not however, my experience and it is for this it is getting 5 stars. Not my best Indian ever as I have had better in other parts of the world but for the Swindon area its the "dogs".... More
