A lovely evening, looked after from start to finish. A good menu and the portion sizes good without being huge. The setting matches the food. The menu was a set price which I thought was good value.

Just returned from a special lunch. The lunch menu is good value and the food very well presented and delicious . The service was excellent and the ambience added to the occasion. We have not visited for some time but we will not leave it too long before we return.

A fantastic experience from the moment we entered the establishment, 'til the moment we left. The service was friendly, discreet and impeccable, the food sumptuous, and the surroundings relaxing and comfortable. very good country house hotel excellent food and a nice conservatory and garden for sunny days. Small enough to retain its character.

The Pear Tree is a venue for that special occassion. Staff are friendly and eager to help. Located in Purton, just outside Swindon it is easy to get to and has ample car parking.

no complaints from me, the food was good and the staff were friendly, in fact even the rest of the diners were friendlier than you would find elsewhere. overall a very pleasant experience. From the longstanding reputation of the pear tree I expected something unique and amazing, it's actually not either of those things but "nice" none the less

This was supposed to be a nice place to go - so we did so on the personal recommendation of a number of friends. However it didn't really match expectations in any shape or form. (food and staff both average)
