Visited for friends 40th birthday breakfast, the food was excellent, superb quality. The portions were huge so had to leave some which was a shame as the full breakfast it was so tasty. The granola was the tastiest I'd ever had, I also tried haggis for the first time as it was a replacement for white pudding. I know now... More

This was my first visit and it was superb. We visited for brunch and I can highly recommend the porridge with fresh fruit and ice-cream, it was divine. initially wasn't sure about the combination but it worked perfectly. The full English is indeed very generous and the salmon and scrambled egg is also highly recommended. The service is outstanding and... More

Visited with 2 friends to celebrate 40th birthdays. We had the champagne breakfast. The granola is to die for (its prompted me to make my own), we had different main, eggs benedict, Welsh rarebit and roasted balsamic tomatoes they were all fantastic, great tasting and beautifully presented. We then all had the banana crepes to finish. We couldn't fault anything.... More

I have been going to this excellent brasserie since it opened. The simple facts are that the offering here is the best in Derby, at any price point. Moreover, one of their specialities is breakfast/ brunch and you would be delighted to receive this standard of food in a 5 star hotel in London. Service is polite but un fussy... More

I took my fiancée here as a belated birthday treat for the champagne breakfast. Simply put it was one of the best dining experiences I have ever had. From the amazing service through to some of the best tasting food I've ever had. We both had the granola to start which was so good I almost asked for another but... More

This time, a birthday treat - breakfast. Coffee, orange juice, smoked salmon and scrambled eggs, followed by banana crepes. Wife had eggs benedict and couldn't manage the crepes . Almost too full to get up. How we managed the full champagne version a while back, I'm not sure, but that was very special. At lunchtimes I usually go for the... More

We visited because of the good reports on line. We were not disappointed. Me and my daughter both chose the sea bass with spicy sauce. Light and lovely. We also chose a delicious dessert from the enticing selection. Banana pancakes and spiced apple compote with yogurt. Neither was too big nor too rich. A good thing for ladies who lunch!

Our 3rd visit in a year to this restaurant and our experience each time has been fantastic. The service, quality of the food, taste, presentation and price are all fantastic. Its a real pleasure to enjoy all of these things together. I opted for the roast tomatoes breakfast option and my husband had eggs benedict with smoked salmon (we are... More

I've just been to this restaurant for the first time today with my sister in law for lunch. The staff were so attentive and understanding. We kept them waiting a long time before we decided what we wanted to eat but it was no problem to them. After we'd finally decided what we wanted and ordered it, I had boeuf... More
