Came here today 27/5 for lunch. All the staff were brilliant and so friendly. A small child dropped his drink on the floor by accident. The staff were great with him was so good to see great customer service. The food was great my partner and I both had the soup and she had a veggie tart and I had... More

It seems I'm not the only one who thinks the Kitchen could do with sorting out their prices. I ordered a sandwich from here to take out and it was just all bread. Huge doorstep slices and small filling. £4.50!

I wouldn't come back to this establishment again as I've left a review before. Not a good one. But my colleagues came back with coffees last week from here and none of them were full cups. It grates on me that this cafe charges the earth for a drink yet cannot honour its customers by filling the cup up. Shoddy.

I love The Kitchen! My mum introduced me to this place a while back, and I've taken my husband now as well. The menu is delicious, it's just so good. I love the burgers especially, but the sandwiches and paninis are glorious too. The array of cakes and homemade sweet treats makes me feel as if I'm back at my... More

I have lunch here if I feel like an affordable treat! The paninis are lovely but I always enjoy one of their burgers and the chips are scummy too (good portion sizes too!). Def recommend!

Tucked away in Sadlergate in the Cathedral Quarter of Derby, this is a great find whether it is for breakfast, lunch or afternoon tea. It has good food, friendly and helpful staff, and a nice ambience. Highly recommended. One word of warning, though, don't sit near the door in winter as it does not shut fully when people enter and... More

Having been in meetings, the cheerful exterior of the Kitchen, the pleasant smells emanating therefrom, together with the advertisement for 'scrumptious home made cakes' tipped the scale and enticed us in for a break. Whilst being fairly basic in style, the Kitchen manages to fit a quart into a pint pot, and there was an enticing display of cakes, spoiling... More

In the heart of the Cathedral Quarter and fashionable Sadler Gate with it's beautiful artisan shops, The Kitchen offers a warm pleasant ambience for a break at any time of day. Friendly staff and well presented food and drinks......the tea was particularly quirky but I won't spoil the surprise! IfI had one criticism, I could their balsamic a bit too... More

I dislike the fact that the staff are not friendly and you are paying a hefty amount to eat here. This is probably the most expensive coffee on the street too. so all in all it's put me off.
