Called in for breakfast and had the sausage/bacon sandwich, wow, a proper door stop sandwich, tasty incredients on chunky bread with tomato relish. Service was quick and efficient and I liked the little touch of having your own "mini" milk bottle with your drink. Very good breakfast menu choice, very well decorated and an enjoyable place to stop off at.

This is a great place for lunch and in a lovely area of Derby - lots of independent shops and stalls around. Impressed with service - tables were cleared quickly and care was very busy. Good choice of drinks. Food was not quick to arrive yet not slow either - they cook/prepare from scratch clearly which is a rarity in... More

Called in for lunch in September. I had a chicken/salad sandwich which was very tasty. The chicken was tender and plentiful, the rest of the filling fresh and moist. The bread was cut extremely thick, which made picking the sandwich up to bite an impossibility - I removed the top slice, at that as a slice of bread, and used... More

Had a friend over from nottingham and we were looking for a coffee. I thought we'd go to the kitchen. We decided to have breakfast too and both choices were fantastic. Will go back for sure.

Lovely little cafe with quirky interior. The service is average but the coffee is good and the food is great! Lovely fresh burgers and gorgeous meringue for dessert. Definitely one of my favourite places for lunch in Derby.

A justifiably lauded café this. After a bizarre experience down the road at the Pyclet place the Kitchen Café came to our rescue with a couple of delicious sandwiches and 2 quite exquisite lattes served up with expedience. Not too expensive either for the quality of fare and a nice chilled atmosphere to boot. Staff and surroundings faultless. Really good... More

Went to The Kitchen for the first time today and liked it. Although it was lunch and therefore quite busy we were served almost straight away and the drinks brought to us within a couple of minutes. Waited a short time for the Panini's` but it was busy. Food and drinks were very good so will go back again.

Ordered two Americano,s and a scone, bit disappointed, the scone had been warmed up, not very keen on warm scones, they should have asked if we wanted our scones warmed up first. My cup of coffee came just over half full, I don't have milk in mine if I did it would struggle to be three quarters full. I asked... More

I came to the kitchen the other day around 4pm to meet a friend for a coffee. We were sat outside and approached by an elderly member of staff who was unbelievably rude however we took no notice, both ordered a few drinks each and proceeded to chat. When I went inside to use the bathroom I heard this lady... More
