Went to the Chestnut Tree with our new team from Rolls-Royce last night. I was pleasantly surprised. Had a fantastic meal. Menu has a lot of different dishes and not many of the well known curries. Everyone seemed to enjoy their meals and commented on the good value. Give it a try. I'm sure we will return at a later... More

Sixteen of us turned up at the Chestnut tree for a work night out (aka self-funded morale booster). Had a great time. We'd ordered the food before we arrived and the catering team were well organized and had everything in hand. The food was superb - everything from hot curries to burgers - plentiful portions and as advertised on the... More

We took trip advisor advice and gave it a try... The previous comments told us about the location , decor etc and the excellent food. We had very good curries, cooked especially to our requirements as I have some food allergies in an open kitchen by an excellent chef. In addition, the meal was excellent value for money.

Ordered a takeaway and they also delivered it to. Great food, same as home cooked punjabi food. A must for all curry lovers.

I have been to this establishment for around 2 years now and cannot praise it enough. One of the most authentic Indian restaurants to be found in Derby serving real homemade food. If you want good value food without the fussy surround and enjoy being welcomed by genuine friendly staff this is the place to go to. Don't be put... More

We went for tea rather than a night out. We were the only people eating in the restaurant side of the pub - it was about 6.30 on a Thursday. The decor is clean and modern but the place lacks something- a bit of Asian colour or table runners? The menu is great as there are only a few curry... More

The Chestnut Tree is essentially an average estate pub serving above average Indian food. The pub part has pool table, big screen TV and a few noisy locals playing pool and watching football. At one end of the pub behind a sreened-off area is the restaurant part, although we were told we could eat anywhere in the pub. Menus are... More
