Another lovely evening spent in the Viceroy. From the moment we arrived, until we left the staff were very attentive. The food was cooked to a high standard, and they were able to cook a dish specially for one of our party, who cannot eat onions and garlic. Thank you once again.

We went along to the Viceroy in Midland Road. And we're told by the girl outside that if we ate before 7.30pm it was two for one. So not having been in here before, thought that offer was a good time to try. We were seated and ordered pomidoms and pickles. And then a dish for two to share. I... More

Hi Sandy, First off let me sincerely apologise for what seems is a matter of miscommunication. 1) We certainly do have a 2 for 1 offer before 7:30 on the main meal only. Further more we have a A board outside the restaurant clearly advertising this offer. 2) A couple of dishes are excluded from this offer and this is... More

Went for Desi lamb..on the bone. Authentic and really good! Relatively pricey though. Watch out for the tinl splinters of bone... the menu doesn't warn you. Otherwise a delicious 'staff curry'.

We were very happy to see the Indian restaurant after a long trip to lake district back to Birmingham. The ambiance was too good and we ordered and the taste was also very good. When we saw the bill at the last we were shocked 160£ for 4 people excluding drinks. They only helped us to order by telling to order for... More

This is a absolutely ridiculous not to mention completely fictional review. We cannot even find the bill for the table! A 3 course meal including nan breads / rice and popadoms and pickle tray on average typically comes to £20 - £25. To add insult to injury you are insinuating that we recommend those dishes purely on the basis of... More

Compliments to Jay what a fab waiter. We travel once a year to this restaurant for a treat as we haven't found one any better nearer home. We order so many curry's that our friends are get fed up with us banting on about the Viceroy. SOOOO this time we took them with us. Praying that the meal would live... More

Have been going here since it opened and food has always been great, and if it's not to your living they are really happy to alter/change it - great customer service. They also have loyalty card/discounts for regulators too. Can be pricey if just ordering off hand, so if looking for a selection if different foods then go for the... More

Most Indian restaurants are roughly the same, in terms of menu, and general food standards. This one is a cut above the usual. I had a roast lamb curry, which is very unusual, and it was superb, extremely succulent. My companion chose duck which came with a sweet and sour type sauce, again unusual and excellent. The starters were beautiful,... More

From your greeting at the door to when you leave you are made to feel relaxed and welcome. Staff are very attentive and will cater to your every need. Not the cheapest by far.
