Very good

I visited the cooper arms at the beginning of the month with my boyfriend. Our table was booked for 8:15pm we arrived abit early and was asked if we wanted to get a drink at the bar which we did and then we sat down. The waitress informed us that it was a new menu that launched that day. We... read more

Decided to visit this place after reading the reviews in TA...well it must have been an off day. The carvery was average to say the least - about the standard of an average Toby Carvery with less choice and twice the price of a Toby as well (£11.50 each). The Beef was really nice but the gravy had no flavour... More

Again, the Coopers Arms carvery just delivers in spades. Value, great atmosphere, lovely food, beautiful roast, good wine, excellent beer. I've only ever had minor cause for complaint once, and the response couldn't have been better.

Visited last Sunday early evening time and the place was very busy. Good atmosphere all round and plenty of staff to keep the service going along smoothly. We all chose to have a carvery meal and enjoyed the meal immensely. Plenty of fresh vegetables to choose from and all cooked to my liking too. The red cabbage they did, I... More

My wife and myself and our 2 good friends visited Coopers Arms last Saturday night . The meal was top class, so was the service and the bar area of the restaurant lent itself too the special occasion, all at a very reasonable price, we would certainly go back again.

A group of eight of adults, plus a nine year old, on a boat trip on the Trent & Mersey Canal moored at Weston Lock and descended unannounced for lunch at the Coopers last week. Some of the group had dined here on previous T&M Canal trips, so they were pretty upbeat about what to expect and assured the newbies... More

Just ate here tonight after booking half hour before. We both had Calvert which was superb. This is the second time I have eaten here and the first time was just as excellent. Actually staying about ten miles from this place and was prepared to drive past many other restaurants in order to guarantee my partner a great evening meal... More

The food here is excellent. And the food here has been excellent in the past. However, service was slow and although staff were lovely this needs looking at. We arrived at 2:30 and didn't get away until almost 5:30. Very long gaps between courses. It was busy, but not *that* busy.

This was by far the best carvery I've ever eaten! I wouldn't normally choose to eat at a carvery restaurant but The Coopers Arms website and other Tripadvisor comments convinced me to book a table for 20 for our family's Sunday lunch. The food was delicious, the staff were friendly and professional and the setting was delightful. As a large... More
